Steelers would never release pressure studiously. They would do it in a manly way, and studious doesn’t sound manly at all.
A Patriots fan pulled the fire alarm at 3 a.m. today at the Steelers’ hotel. My God, even the fans cheat.
Saving time by making your excuses *before *the game?
You’d think by now they’d figure out a way to make it a little harder for an idiot fan to do this kind of thing so easily, seems to happen more than it should. New England had it happen to them twice before the superbowl vs Seattle. Would be a relatively minor expense for a team to hire some extra security to prevent it.
Given that ANY fire alarm ANYWHERE inside the hotel will produce this response (most likely), that seems difficult to do.
Not to mention the fact that fire alarms are accessible for a very good reason.
And if it had been a Steeler fan waking the Patriots? Your partisanship is showing.
He’d be blaming Roger Goodell.
Early indications not good for the Steelers. I hope that at least they avoid the Packers’ fate of getting the treatment a baby gives a diaper.
Not a good start, but there’s still lots of time.
17-9 at the half. Worrisome, especially with Bell now hurt and the failure at the goal line, but it’s far from over. They can still do this.
At least Steelers aren’t going down without a fight. Patriots are slightly better, and of course helped by the special set of rules that applies to them.
It’s the Steelers with the personal foul and most recent arrest.
You would think that 15 years would be more than enough time to learn that you can’t beat Tom Brady with a zone defense.
And yet…
Brady is a better QB than Roethlisberger, but not by some incredible margin. I don’t know what it would take for the Steelers to beat these Patriots, other than better coaching. This is not a call for Tomlin’s head - Steelers had a great season.
So close, yet so far.
Good season.
Brady is a better QB by an insurmountable margin. At least he had that knee injury in 2008, otherwise the Steelers wouldn’t have won the Super Bowl that year.
Ah well, I’m sure it felt nice to dream.
HAHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAHAA.
Irony. This “special offciating” applies to the Steelers too, EXCEPT when they play the darling Tom Brady.
Make no mistake, the refs didn’t matter in this game. The patsies WAXED the Stillers as much as the Falcons destroyed the Packers.
Hopefully it’s a competitive Superbowl. All but the divisional playoff games have been blowouts so far.
