Mrs.S and I will be there all 4 days, plus preview night. The best bet is to just graba map and a program, sit down, and figure out your plan of attack. Bring lots of maoney and plan on waiting in a large number of lines. According to the latest update, which I have before me, they just added Sarah Michelle Gellar to the list of celebs. They are also planning on having late-night movie showings, so you can see the panels you want to see without missing the movies.
I’m trying to repress the knowledge that I’m not going this year. Waaaaaahhh…
Definately make a plan of attack on preview night. Take your time and wear comfy shoes. My friends and I call CCSD “The Bataan Comics March”.
Don’t miss the Masquerade and try to catch as many panel discussions as possible. You’ll usually be surprised by who shows up unexpectedly.
Have lots of fun for me!
I wondered if you were gonna pop up! Glad to see you!
I guess I am gonna have to go meet Buffy too. sigh Its gonna be a LOOOOONNNGGGG weekend.
I actually answered before I noticed it was you :smack:
Don’t forget cash either. Lots and lots of money to buy all the fabulous things you can only find there. I’m still kicking myself for not buying a couple things when we went; I guess I was trying to save money and figured I’d be able to find the same thing online later… bad plan.
Good luck with Buffy! I’m still surprised she showed up- I didn’t think she was geek friendly.
San Diego is going to feel like paradise compared to here this time of year!
I live in San Diego, so I’ll probably go (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=264647&highlight=diego+comic) unless it’s the same weekend as Gay Pride.
I was seeing signs for it as I was walking around at the harbor today.
Since they don’t post a schedule, how do you know if you want to buy tickets to one day more than others?
What sort of volunteer work do you do, Robgruver?
