The 2012 Election Schadenfreude thread

No, no, you’re all wrong. God let this happen because God hates Mormons more than he hates fags and abortions. No, seriously, that was the guy’s conclusion:

A facebook friend earnestly linked this blog post yesterday because she found it so thought-provoking. Sigh.

Well, it is thought provoking. Its just that the thoughts it provokes are kinda ugly.

I have been trying to find this info for myself. As I understand it Colorado is slightly above average in that 28% of the population vote. But this would mean that important things. Like who is president are determined by just over one eighth of the people. It seems everyone has an opinion on things political. Therefore it is hard for me to believe this to be the case. Can they be that adamant in their argument but too lazy to vote.

Oh, about ancient Israel and the various prophets. The ancient Hebrew had the misfortune of occupying a section of territory easily conquered by whoever was on top at the time. The Egyptians a couple times, Babylonians, Persians, Romans. The people were told they were God’s favorites and they asked “So howcome we keep getting our asses kicked, if God loves us so much?”

Because God is very fussy, and very jealous. If you don’t do everything just so, you piss God off, and he hands you over to barbarians for punishment. Again. And again. Once more, just to rub it in.

And every time, it was because God was punishing the Hebrews for insufficient righteousness. By handing them over to people with no righteousness whatsoever.

Dude, that was a five-course meal!

I don’t think anything there will top this post:

Yep, try China. They’re very big on personal freedom and non-intrusive government.

Dumbass.

And here’s your dessert:

Romney campaign obtained a permit for an election-night fireworks display in Boston

I remember somebody posting a year or so ago that the reason China was doing so well compared to us was because the American government had gone too far to the left.

It’s almost mind-boggling- his campaign really thought they were going to win. I wonder what Romney himself thought?

“I bring quadruple diversity to the Senate,” Hirono said at a rally earlier in the campaign. “I’m a woman. I’ll be the first Asian woman ever to be elected to the U.S. Senate. I am an immigrant. I am a Buddhist. When I said this at one of my gatherings, they said, ‘Yes, but are you gay?’ and I said, ‘Nobody’s perfect.’”

Newly elected Senator from Hawaii, Rep. Mazie Hirono

Am I naive? Stupid? Why is this all so unclear and wrong to me?

Hahahahaha.

And this just in…Florida! Link, shmink its all over the place.

If that isn’t just the icing on the cake.

OK, so I’ll say “peninsula” again. Instead of “penisula”. Just that kind of guy, very forgiving…

As a Bostonian, I’m pretty sure that would have brought mobs with pitchforks down to the Convention Center. We’re not exactly Romney fans in this city.

Here’s another little piece of schadenfreude:

Anyone who ever takes Karl Rove’s advice in the future is a fucking idiot and deserves to lose whatever election he or she (probably he) is running in.

OK, this entry made me laugh out loud.

And the award for Most Well-Deserved Schadenfreude goes to…

I opened this forum to specifically ask for some election shadenfreude material.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get Fox on the night - had to watch BBC which was incredibly professional compared to the videos posted here. I cant believe that woman went down the corridor to ‘interrogate’ the statisticians. That is brilliant.
Now I can bask in your reflective shadenfreude, thanks to YouTube.

Anyone else with some good clips showing Fox fear, sadness and denial - please post them.

Love this one - Fox calling Obama win.

Billions of dollars couldn’t buy Romney the election.
