The 2016 is almost over MMP

It’s raining here, which makes sense because my umbrella is at home. Still, I won’t have to venture out till I head home, and maybe I can make it into and out of the grocery store in less than a downpour.

Piddly little jobs on my plate. Not a lot of challenge, nor enough volume to keep me completely occupied. Gonna be a long day.

I really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. Less than two inches of snow on the ground and my car, but that just seemed like far too much work. I managed to get up and out the door to work, but I’m still not happy about it.

Swampy, glad to hear Mom is feeling better. I’m sure she’d be thrilled to hear that a bunch of internet strangers are thinking good thoughts for her.

Dotty, I once pumped nearly a hundred bucks in pennies into an Atlantic City slot and got nothing. Which is pretty much the story of my life.

I just already want today to be over. I’m supposed to go to a meeting for this year’s Variety Show tonight. Don’t wanna. I have laundry to do.

It was cold, wet, and gloomy all day Moanday. 2day morning is more of the same. Blurf.

swampy, hope mom keeps getting better.

Dotty, I gave up on slots many years ago, now on the very infrequent times I gamble at a casino, it’s blackjack only.

ruble, that system makes no sense, it’s more like anarchy than a workable system. Sounds like HR is just to lazy to do the work to make a ‘fair’ system. IMHO.

A couple loads of laundry are on the schedule today (once the hot water comes back up after having to re-light the heater again) and finish my current book (about 150 paperback pages left).

Looking for work. Can’t find references. My teeth used to be healthy and now they’re having serious problems. Severely depressed. Don’t know how much longer I’ll last in this condition.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s raining out. Closing shift tonight.

Dotty, when I was in Vegas, I went on an 8 hour pub crawl/slot machine rampage on the Strip, and ended up with more money than I started with.

Blurf. Had another sleepless night. I am playing hooky today. Gonna go to the grocery store and cook up a feast. Don’t know what yet. But first I think I will try for a nap.

{{{Midget}}}

Dotty, completely forgot to congratulate you on surviving round 1, and winning on top of that. I once cashed out on a machine with 0.01 on the ticket, just because I could. I’d been playing it for ages, was bored, wanted my bed and the flaming thing just wouldn’t let me lose.

(((((midget)))))

Thanks, all.

Mom is bein’ discharged from the horsepistol. Sis texted me and told me they are waitin’ on the appropriate paperirk for that to happen, so yay! Also, the bathrooms and kitchen are all cleanded and mopped. Go Me! I took some boneless, skinless chikin boobs outta da freezer yestiddy. I have decided they will become chikin parmesan for dindin cause that’s pretty easy to do. I use a jarred sauce. Don’t judge! I figure that, a sallit, and some garlic bread will be sufficient to fill us up and keep the vampires away.

{{{Midget}}} hope all is well soonest and you find employment.

I’ve been there; hang tight and you’ll survive. Any low-cost dental clinics in your area?

Yay on surviving the chemo, dotty.

{{{Emily}}} A new job may help alleviate the depression and give you incentive (and money, if there is a copay in Canada) for needed dental work. Keeping appendages crossed.

One of my cow-orkers is out this week, so I actually am keeping busy at irk. The holiday season is keeping me busy out of irk. :stuck_out_tongue: The stockings that I’m taking up north for Xmas are filled and the one Dirty Santa gift is wrapped, so now it’s just prepping and going to parties.

*lalalalala *- Waiting for my coworker to give me stuff to do. He’s standing here talking to the n00b engineer about it. lalalalalala

It’s warm, N.O.S. and windy out. This means, of course, leaves are blowin’ everywhere. Guess what chore I’ll get to do yet again this week.

Home after a soggy commute. I stopped at Food Lion and got a few things, including a steak for supper. **FCD **wants to go out, so steak for tomorrow. And Chinese tonight.

It’s still raining and it’ll continue a few more hours. Yay for rain, but boo for wussy dog who didn’t want to go out. I had to carry her out and walk with her to the side yard where she likes to squat. But she did, so yay.

Well I had a fun morning. The toilet was plugged up this AM. When you live in a ~120 year old house you have to expect that.

I have a rubber gadget that I screw onto the garden hose that I then stick down the two Cleanouts (one at a time) that I have installed just for this purpose. When I turn on the water, the gadget swells up and blocks the drain pipe and then spits bursts of water out the other end at fairly high pressure. Most times it cleans the pipes out quite nicely.
This morning was a good morning. It worked as intended.
The next time it doesn’t work and I have to dig up the yard (for the fourth or fifth time) I have a long sweeping ‘Y’ I intend to install in place of the ‘T’ some fool originally put in to collect the outflow from the 2 toilets, et. al. It almost always gets clogged up at that ‘T’.
I wish I’d known about long sweeping 'Y’s the last time I dug it up.

You really wanted to know that didn’t you.

You guys sure go out to eat a lot Mom, you must be rich.

Well, I’ve gotta go to the credit union and deposit the $425.00 I made at the holiday bazaar over the weekend, and then go get some russets and spinach to make Zuppa Tuscana (Eye-talyan potato soup) for dindin.

Tally ho, hip hip, and all that.

{{{{Emily}}} I’m not sure what battles you’re fighting, but I hope you’re okay.

Lots of rain here overnight.

I made Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon rolls last night, as my first foray into Christmas baking for 2016. I’m pretty sure someone from the MMP first introduced me to the Pioneer Woman - maybe it was lissla? Anyway, further baking will include gingerbread men, sugar cookies and white chocolate and cranberry shortbread. Then I have a plan to make white chocolate and red velvet trifle for my Christmas lunch contribution this year.

Mmmmm, Christmas …

We will make some up, I have a nice laser printer. MMPers can mail them from the requisite cities.
What do you need besides Carnegie Hall?
It’s going to be okay. Not tomorrow, but it will be ok.

Dindin has been ingested. Plus enough for both of us to have for N.O.L. tomorrow. Win-Win! I’ve had da cave windows open all afternoon and shall close them shortly cause it will be a might chillified tonight. All the fresh air has been nice.

Bumba don’t know about anyone else, but I do so enjoy a good plumbin’/sewage story.

We *would *be rich if we didn’t eat out so much.

Actually, since we don’t drink, eating out is cheap - it rarely runs over $30. If we go to Salsa’s, it’ll be under $20, even with the tip.

Just got off the phone with my mom - I was helping her with her email contact list. I love TeamViewer - it makes helping her so much easier. And I got off the phone fairly quick because my phone beeped for low battery, so that was a win, too! I know that sounds mean, but my mom can talk your ear off.

Time to don robe and slippers to veg the evening away.
