The 2016 is almost over MMP

Thanks, all.
I’ve got some leads on references. And I have a dentist appointment for Thursday.

The weather app lied, it’s been raining all day.
It may have been sunrise when I posted Spidey, but it was still dark outside. Then again, maybe it takes the sun longer to climb the ‘mountains’. I guess I shouldn’t make fun of the poor mountains here, most of the time my ears pop on the way home from the armpit.

{{{Midget}}} I hope things start looking up for you.

Swampy - I’m glad your mother is going home.

My mother called me yesterday, the boys saw their Christmas gift and want it now. I don’t care, they can open it early. They cleaned out a space in the basement for it - a 13-in-1 game table which includes foosball and slide hockey. Anything that makes them clean up the house is a good thing.

My niece texted today, she saw the gift I got for the step-nieces and she wants one too. Too bad, I already bought her what she asked for. I got the step-nieces some of that new polish - you add glitter, dry under a UV light, and it looks metallic or like broken glass.
I’m thinking about splurging and buy it for my niece, but then I have to splurge on the other niece to keep it even.

My mother bitches about my niece, my niece bitches about my mother…
and I laughed, because it is so nice to be away from the drama.

Earlier today Sah-son came out of his room and said the house stinks. I thought because the cat had just used the box (I swear from the smell you’d think that cat lives on rotted fish guts), but it seems the dog had a bit of the trots by the back door. I don’t know if I am going to wash the throw rug or just throw it out. It’s fairly new, but I got it on sale for $6. Probably cheaper to throw it out and buy a new one rather than use *Nature’s Miracle *on it.

Nature’s Miracle is the bomb.

I got an email from the union’s national office telling me about a benefit wherein I can get an associate’s degree at no cost to me. Since one of the three options is in criminal justice, and since I work for a law enforcement agency, it’s appealing. I talked to the admissions person today to get my application in, and I’m getting my transcript requests ready to fax when I get to work tomorrow.

Breakfast for dinner tonight. Ah’s tahrd.

Rockin’ brekkie for dindin is always a good choice. Yay for the skool thing!

I shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Da Jungle doesn’t seem to care about things like that; they seem so used to everyone leaving within 4 months or so that when you stay longer they are almost offended. This is a company that admits that people are considered “old reliables” after their 3rd week. From the HR side, nothing - no matter how stupid a failure – is believable.

Recovering from oral surgery…a tooth that I spent a stupid amount of money on for a root canal and crown back in August became a bad investment as the root cracked. After getting tired of the pain, I decided it was time to yank it. Yesterday was the Day of Yankage and Bone Grafting.

OWWWwww…

The boyfriend’s mother is also having drama. She fell a couple of days ago and broke the bottom of her eye socket. Surgery is set for next Monday before anything horrible happens like nerve damage or she starts looking at the inside of here sinuses.

Speaking of boyfriend, we need a better name. He and I are both well beyond “boy” age, but “manfriend” just sounds weird.

Survived another day at work. I got another assistant manager coving 10 hours of shifts this week. With me being at another store tomorrow for 9 hours, that means I’m below minimum hours by 20 hours, instead of 21.:smack:

Even at the cost of my own life, I can no longer stay silent in the face of the heinous crime committed by N. on this date two years ago.
ETA: Whoops, that’s from Flytrap’s reference file. Carry on. And you’ll make it through.(and listen to the advice your Facebook friends gave)

I’ve spent 29 years in retail. I’m used to toilet TMI.

gotti, if he’s a bear, and old enough, Silverback? And hope the mouth feels better quick.

I’m driving home tonight, it’s dark, it’s rainy, the road it two lanes with maybe a 1’ wide shoulder when I barely notice something.
It’s a person.
In dark clothes.
On a bike.
Going the wrong way.

No lights but they was holding an umber-rella to ward off the rain which means only one hand for the handle bars…while riding. Against traffic. Without lights. On a strip of siding that sometimes disappears.

 :smack:  :smack:  :smack:  :smack:  :smack:
Then I went to a (tragic) viewing. In one of the anterooms, there was a large flat-screen TV hanging high on the wall either showing a live fish cam or a video of an aquarium. A big fish tank that I don’t need to clean & fish I neither need to feed nor scoop. Whadda great I-D-er!

I nominate “The Fella.”

How about MainDude?

The rain has moved on and we’re promised sun today… and possible flurries tomorrow morning. ugh. Brace for Teh Stoopit on the roads.

I wish I could show you my desk - piles of pieces - switches, lights, panels, a backlit panel, a box, a tiny screwdriver, my calipers, and a piece of paper that should help me put all the pieces back together… theoretically. I need to design a simplified version of what had been a control box. Since it’s just going into a trainer, it doesn’t need to meet all the qualifications of a control box that goes into an aircraft. So it should be a relatively quick and easy job. We shall see.

Happy Wednesday!!

Blurf. My phone lines are out and the best advice I got on e-mail from the provider is “Well, you need to call for an appointment”, which I would have done IF MY PHONES WEREN’T OUT… Combined with the water heater having to be re-started again, my patience with modern living is wearing down (still beats washing in rivers and squatting for toilets).

gotti, Ouch!! on the tooth. And in honor of swampy’s main squeeze, why not OWHN (Old What’s His Name). But perhaps that is too easy to confuse (and I am easily confused).

rockin’, hope the degree training can work out for you.

Sari, Sometimes I’m glad that I have one brother only, and he lives 400 miles away. I don’t think I could take the family drama. (My mom had 3 siblings, all of which were feuding with various others during their lives).

Himself.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 64 and mostly cloudy for the day. No biggie plans for the day. I do need to go to the sto’ and also plan to go to the liberry. Yahd irk also awaits but it’s too wet out to do anything so that might get put off until tomorrow or Firday. Stoopid leaves!

gotti hope you’re feelin’ better today. I say go all southern USofA and call him your gentleman caller.

Spidey  I hope the fool made it wherever he was goin’ safe.

I am so glad I have a relatively (heh!) drama free family. Seriously we don’t bother each other with whatever drama is goin’ on in our lives. We don’t invent family drama either.

OK, I need some more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify so’s I can appear amongst the public.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing late shift tonight.

Thanks, all.

I hope you’ll feel better soon, EmilyG.

?

Hey! I think I remember which note is G! It’s SOL!

goes to check

It’s only taken me about twenty years to figure out the letters system… :smack:
Off to not working. Stupid intelligent blinds have been going up and down for a while, finally seem to have settled. And no, “stupid intelligent blinds” is not an oxymoron.

Blurfage Back at irk today. Hoo ray not.

Rosie’s sig

I up and not doing a double today. Life is good.

…& Happy Infamy Day.
Swampy, I was very tempted to call the cops on him myself. Some of the things they could have cited him for:
[ul]
[li]Riding the wrong way[/li][li]Lack of required lighting [/li][li]Lack of control (he swerved w/ only one hands on the handlebars)[/li][li]Careless/Reckless driving[/li][/ul]
…& I’m a cyclist! I know that it’s hard enough getting respect on the road; these idjits don’t help, either!
Nava, but what is it in a non-Roman alphabet where they don’t have the letter “G”???

‘Tis a cool, damp, and dreary day. A kind of mist all around, thus no de-leafage in store for the day. I made up a ham pot pie (ham leftover from Sunday) for dindin. All i need to do is put on the bizkit toppin’ and bake. Seems like a good thing to eat on a day like today. I have also channeled MOOOOOOM and washed, dried, and put away two loads of laundry.
