Happy Hump Day!
It’s N.O.S. outside, and not too cold.
I have lots to do and no energy to do any of it.

It’s sunny with a high in the mid twennies. Today is the holiday lunch at irk and I saw many prime ribs roasted for us serfs. NOMNOMNOM. I just need to get to the cafe early enough to avoid my cow-irkers who I like but really have no need to pretend to make merry with.
gotti, how about we call your friend Gary? It has a certain understated stupidity about it. Bonus points if you know what movie that came from.
I’m up to my ears in one of my least favorite types of projects - doing “as-built” drawings. I have the parts on my desk and I need to measure all of the features and create computer models so that these can be reproduced as necessary. The worst part is figuring out hole locations. They have to be dimensioned to the center, but you can’t just eyeball the center of a hole - ya gotta do math and stuff! What a pain!!!
I was so involved, I went almost 20 minutes past lunch! Luckily, I looked at my watch and I’ve now ingested leftover Chinese food from last night. So happy tummy here.
Just gotta make it till 3:30…
Ouch, gotti! And I’m with swampy on Gentleman Caller for your guy’s name…only I would’ve said it was Victorian.
spidey, a pedestrian like that sounds like he’s already sustained brain damage.
Tonight is our last choir practice before dress rehearsal and performing Sunday. There’s a section of the madrigal that is still giving me problems, but otherwise, I’m ready.
Aloha everyone. A brief report from Hawai’i. So far, so good. My husband is making plans to buy a second home here. ![]()
The place where we’re staying has a giant, in ground, saltwater aquarium that is stocked with native fish. We’ve been teaching the kids to snorkel there, and today we’re taking them “snuba”. We hoped to do some snorkel in the ocean but the weather has been so-so, and the water is too rough for the kiddos. Plus the visibility will be crap I think, due to the churning.
We’ve had fairly good luck finding 'Beamer food he’ll eat everywhere we’ve tried, which is a Good Thing.
Our rooms were upgraded (no complaints), and we have a lovely ocean view and a balcony.
Hugs to Midget (come back and tell us more!), Swampy and mom, and to everyone else I’ve missed I send Rosie’s sig. I’ll try and catch up on everything later.
Musical notes (A B C D, etc) correspond to do re mi, like the song. Note “G” = “so(l)”. It’s called solfège.
Evenin’ all.

Definitely hoping for a better 2017 all round. I’m not exactly enjoying the political situation this side of the pond either; for a start, I was hoping to move out of the country in a few years, but it’s all looking a whole lot more complicated now.
Still, I do have a nice holiday in Spain to look forward to (booked flights now, though it appears that diving will not be happening, as the month is too quiet for dive trips to operate), and at least life is looking interesting…
Also I have three days off now, and I just had my regular [del]vet[/del] dentist checkup, and my teesh are fine. I was a bit worried about one, but it’s just getting stained due to my crippling caffeine addiction.
Mid day blurf. I had my lunch. I ordered thai curry and it was good. It was delivered to the gate so I only had to run up to the gate. The delivery driver was on a moped thus cannot get through the gate. I had a gnawin and a cravin for thai.
I have to stick around til closing tonight because I need to go see if all the outdoor lights work at my community center bldg. I know the porch ones do not but before I can report it I must know if the parking lights work. I hate driving after dark.
OK, that is all the news fit to print.
Thanks, all.
Going to rehearsal tonight and the dentist tomorrow.
I’m bracing myself to do some outside tasks – it’s cold out (by PNW standards, anyway). We may get some snow later in the week.
Home. Supper is begun - N.O.T.-n-onions in the frying pan, carrots in a sauce pan, steak will be tossed on the ol’ George Foreman in a little while. Much yum will ensue.
Howdy Y’all! Home from Evening Prayer over to the church house. Also the ham pot pie is nummerific, plus leftovers for tomorrow night’s dindin. Win-Win!
Good afternoon. Lots of rain here last night, and still very cloudy today with more rain expected. It’s cooler than usual, which is nice.
No big plans for the evening - I may make gingerbread cookie dough, or I may do nothing at all. Hmmmm, decisions decisions!

Dotty, what corner of the world are you hailing from these days? Be glad it isn’t around here, they are calling for water to phase change from liquid to solid, much to my disgust.
While in our truck yard doing TDR a military plane flew low overhead. I stopped for a second and said “I hope it’s one of ours”. The 20something who was my spotter didn’t get the joke.
I’m in Australia these days, on the Gold Coast (about an hour’s drive north of the easterly most point of the Australian mainland). Last week was a bit of a heatwave (temps in the mid-30s C / 95 F), but the rain and cloud cover brought temps today down to a pleasant 25C/77F, and even cooler at the beach, with the onshore sea breeze. No chance for snow or ice here, unless tonight’s storm drops some hail
ruble LOL
**FCD **kicked me!!! I don’t know what he was dreaming, but about shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a kick in the shin! He also punched my pillow a few times, but never came close to my head. Then the snoring started. He had a bad night, so I had a bad night. Consequently, I’m in zombie mode. Gonna be a long day.
But it’s Thursday, so there’s that. Happy Thursday!!
Happy Thorsday!
It’s a still dark 37 degrees outside and we have a 4% chance of snow.
The night time temps are predicted to drop into the 20s and the teens at night this coming week.
BRRRRRRR!
I’m glad I don’t have to go out early any of those days.
I woke up too early and with a sore throat. Probably because of the dry heat in here. I’ll make some cup of noodles in a bit, that will make my throat feel better. My tummy is not quite ready to have anything dumped into it yet.
Taking a break from the rag rug, my wrists were getting sore.
It sucks getting old.
I didn’t think it was possible, but I just had a bite of a *HORRIBLE *chocolate chip cookie. Someone left a couple of big bags of cookies in the break room and I tried a few. I saved the CC for last since it’s one of my favorites.
OMG!!! I don’t know who made it or what they did but it was awful! ICK!
This is not going to be a good day…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 50 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 58 and mostly cloudy for the day. It’s also dry out which is a good thing for da bear cause deleafage of the front yahd is in store for the day. When there’s enough daylight to do so, I shall get that done. Shouldn’t take much more than an hour to get done I just do not like to do it however. After that, who knows what the day has in store. OK, one thing is in store and that is the makeage of chawklit chip cookies. I even left butter out overnight to soften.
MOOOOOOM I cannot imagine how one could make a bad chawklit chip cookie outside of burnin’ 'em.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustanence. Then I await daylight and deleafage. Rah.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
swampy, I have no idea what made it so awful, but after one bite, I tossed it in the garbage! Can you imagine?!?!?!
I think this weekend might require bakeage of oatmeal cookies…
