The 25 Most Beautiful Cars of All Time

I don’t understand how you can have such a list without an Aston Martin of some type.

Look through those picture galleries, and tell me how the Automobile magazine could have come up with such a mundane list when there are such gorgeous cars are around as this

or this

just look at the dashboard on this, in a Fiat of all things

Any such list that doesn’t include the Bugatti Royale is incomplete, IMO.

The '66 Maserati Sebring also deserves to be up there.

And chalk me up as one more surprised to not see even one Hispano-Suiza in that list.

The rest of the car is pretty mundane, though.

Ah. :smack:

Now here is a nice looking Fiat!

Feh, I’ve never found curvy cars that look like a half-melted gumball attractive. Gimme either a lovely mean sharky-looking car like a '63 Corvette Stingray or something quirky and unusual like a Reliant Scimitar. Mmmm lovely.

Which Royale? As I recall, all six cars had very different body styles…

I don’t know why either.

One of my personal favorites for aesthetics among all production cars is the 1956 Packard Caribbean convertible.

Any list that does not include the most powerful looking sexist sports car ever built is suspect. This bad boy makes an XKE look like the that pain girl with the flat chest, and funny eyeglasses you went to high school with.
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Ferrari 250 GTO.

You may start drooling.

BTW Tuckerfan the GT40 was a production car. Available with a 289 IIRC. Galpin ford has one of the Last Ford GT’s painted in the Gulf Wyler colors on their showroom. I think I would sell my soul, or my left testicle for that car. Here is a taste of what I am talking about They don’t have a pic on line of the full car. Too bad.

:smack: Make that
This bad boy makes an XKE look like that plain girl…
I am such an idiot. :smack:

I prefer this Ferrari http://www.italiancar.com.au/images/image13530_b_lg.jpg

And if we have a Nissan it should be this one http://www.students.itu.edu.tr/~ayvate/cjpwallpapers/nissan/nismo-skyline-95-1024%20copy.jpg
though it is beauty through aggressive appearance.

For a beautiful Japanese car I’d go for a third generation RX-7 File:Mazda-rx7-3rd-generation01.jpg - Wikipedia

You are correct, sir!

And there’s even one at the office every so often. A very pretty car indeed.

One got stuck behind us travelling up north last week for about 15 miles. Not that it was our car holding him up (we were all stuck behind a huge furniture removal lorry doing about 30 mph, tops, downhill, when the wind was right), but it was funny looking back at the DB9 driver getting increasingly frustrated. Perhaps he was worried about running out of petrol, or oil or something, I can’t imagine his car enjoys footering about on a single track road at bicycle pace.

Yeah! How the hell did the Rx-7 get left off of that list? Inside, outside, the way it drives and feels - a totally sexy car. And they’re beautifully curvy, unlike half of those door-stop shaped Lambo’s, Ferrari’s and such.
What a disappointing list. I wont even start on the many that I disagree with.

(I’m sad… we just sold our black 93 Rx-7 R1 (totalled by a jerk who didn’t see us). )*

I maintain, the Ford GT is the perfectly proportioned sports car. Just gorgeous.

And I quite like the Ferrari F430. Really nice.

And the Porsche Carrerra GT is no slouch in the looks department, either.

And since I owned 3 of them, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Datsun 240-Z. The best looking of all the ‘Z’ cars - pure of line, no ugly bumpers or 2+2 humps. Just a beautiful car.

Amateurs.

Hey, Rick, what was the really nice looking Volvo that they made in the late 60s/early 70s? Was it the 1800? I don’t know if I’d put it in the top 25, but it’s certainly better looking than some of the cars on their list.
