What don’t you know and how will you learn it? EXCELLENT question.
Great segue, Obama. But he is wordy.

Obama’s not answering the question, and the ladies’ line is still maxed out.
Barry kind of dodged the “what don’t you know” question.
A dollar says McCain turns into a discourse on “what don’t we know about Obama?”
“I’m sorry Tom… what was the bullshit question again?”

McCain is hardly being reassuring. Did he just admit that he doesn’t know where some countries are? Hope, change–these are Obama’s words. John, have you no originality?
A steady hand at the TILLER?
oops!
Oh God that was great— it’s like Tim Conway’s “Little Old Man” was let loose on the stage.
I want to sleep with Michelle.
Agreed. Too bad both of them ducked the question. Understanding one’s failures is important, yes?
Kevin Drum points out that the last question was basically, “What’s your greatest weakness?”
Personally, I’m too much of a team player.
My guess— just a hunch here… I’ll bet Obama’s supporters will say he won and McCain’s supporters will disagree.
WTF was with the last question? It was reasonable, yet we learn that Obama does know if we can recapture the american dream, and McCain can’t see the future? Jesus, what a waste.
That is correct. Till is a cash register. Tiller is part of the rudder.
And now we have to listen to talking heads. Christ Matthews needs to stop shouting.
Brokaw sucks.
In fairness, John McCain is about as much older than you as you are than your son. Maybe he just thinks of you as an eight-year-old.
Much less interesting debate this time - more speeches.
I’m gonna call it a draw again, but since McCain needs a game-changer . . .
Michelle is shaking hands and glad handing.
Cindy is standing at a distance with her hands behind her back.
McCain never took the Ayers shot. Over all, it was kind of a boring debate. I think both did the Palin thing and just answered the questions they felt like rather than what was asked. A dull affair, kind of wonky. Both guts seemed knowledgable. Nobody kicked anybody’s ass. McCain’s little jabs fell flat. No clear winner. That means Obama was the winner.
Dorf goes campaigning?
What’s wrong with it? A tiller is the beam attached to the rudder-post on some ships. That’s an acceptable phrase.
This debate was booooring. Bad moderator. Bad townhall guests with lame card-read questions. No memorable interaction between Obama and McCain except on foreign policy near the end of the debate.
Let us hope that the next (and last) debate on October 15th will make up for it!
