I liked Obama better overall but I actually thought McCain answered the “what don’t you know” question while Obama did not.
Of course, which is why I don’t care about either of those polls - I want to see what the independent/noncommitted voters thought.
Well it’s going to include the rap battle, so that will help.
For the life of me I don’t understand anyone who’s noncommitted at this point. Obama and McCain are miles apart; you’ve got to lean closer to one than to the other, one would think.
The last question wasn’t bad in and of itself, but only a naive fool would expect ANY politician (Dem/Rep/U.S./non-U.S./old/young/etc.) to answer it truthfully. The next day it’ll be “Candidate Y ADMITS he doesn’t know anything about diplomacy!”
I dropped “Maverick” for “my friends” and I expect to go into severe hepatic failure at any moment.
Cindy’s afraid the hoi polloi will steal her jewelry.
My bad then. It makes me think of a soil tiller, not the wheel of a ship, but I reckon that’s my ignorance showing.
Dorf isn’t the little old man. Dorf’s the one he does on his knees so it looks like he’s teeny-tiny short. The little old man is the one who shuffles around with a stride that’s about 3 inches.
MSNBC, FOX, CNN, CBA all saying McCain didn’t do what he needed to do. And his comment of “that one” was bullshit.
McCain needed a game changer, he didin’t get it. Obama won.
Is it just me, or have these debate threads impacted board performance? I sure hope that the servers are well-tuned for election night. Or is that an unrealistic expectation?
See my post #366. Mea culpa.
Yo’bama is so mixed that he calls Paris Hilton darkie.
If you go by the squiggle, McCain wasn’t hated but the ladies loved Obama. How have the squiggles compared with the instant poll and then later polls, does any one know?
You show brilliant political savvy, my friend.
The only thing that changed in my mind was I lost some respect for Brokaw.
CNN has more analysts commenting on the debate than there were people in the audience. They’re crammed together like middle-schoolers at lunch. Seriously, there must be a dozen of them competing for a few seconds of airtime.
McCain calling Obama “that one” is getting some play as the gaffe everybody so sorely needs.
Nah, this onefrom The Carol Burnett Show. The little addle pated old guy who’d wander around aimlessly.
Because McCain has a much wider range of possible answers.
Sorry…in my defense, when I posted that, the other person correcting it wasn’t there yet. My post got hung up in limbo for about 3 minutes after I pressed Submit.
That’s cos we’re both bleeding heart liberals who can’t understand people who can’t see our side.
yep - and he almost lost his temper, he did not appear as he should have…not good for McSame
