The absolute answer to our Nations difficulty...

lightwait, I am guessing that your OP was a form of witnessing, hence its placement in Great debates. Unfortunately, I have no idea what you are actually witnessing for–and I suspect that all the other poster share my confusion.

I guess I will leave this thread in GD, but I suspect that it is not going to garner much reaction beyond ridicule unless you can post with a bit more clarity. (And, depending on what you are actually trying to say, ridicule is not ruled out as a possibility even if your text is absolutely clear to all.)

Ethnocentrism. Got it. We are the best, all others suck. They will not laugh. They will not cry. They will learn by the numbers we will teach them.

HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

What’s this crap about differing cultural aspects? I thought we were going for a Borg approach here. “Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.” You can’t be ethnocentric and diverse at the same time!

Ahh but what is the question.

Some of us are already there and are waiting for the rest of you to catch up.

I cannot teach those who will not be taught.

That’s beautiful. Is that from Bob Marley?

Movement of jah people!

And then we must destroy that tree so it can never threaten us again!

Wait…so what are we supposed to do then? Did I miss it, or did the OP just forget to include that bit?

Crap, now I’ve got the tune to “By the Rivers of Babylon” stuck in my head. Thanks loads.

No, I think he’s saying “Be Excellent to Each Other.” It’s good advice, actually.

And party on, dudes!

After reading the op’s opening thread multiple times I have the perfect debate question:

cite?

This reminds me of a great Buddha quote I ran across in the latest Harper’s:

I’m pretty sure that applies to advice that makes sense, too.

The majority of these posts profess the typical attitude and spirit the nations of the world see in the United States — US, US, US, from a “What about me?” nation of idiot savants.

lightwait, the problem here is that no one understood what you were trying to say. You can start a new thread if you think you can explain yourself clearly. I’m closing this one.
