It’s gotten better now. And there’s only one episode left in the season, so I’m in for at least that one.
But what girl “forgets” to put her bra back on when she’s leaving a guys house?

I think it’s solid, and am looking forward to next season.
I’m wondering how much of next season will be the continuing story of Noah and Alison, and how much will be alternate experiences from the season 1 timeline from the perspective of Cole, Helen, and maybe even the cop.
I’m still enjoying it. But at some point they will have to reveal who died (besides Scott)–and when. Will it become anticlimactic after that?..we shall see.
What do mean who died besides Scott?
BTW, is that the lamest opening song for a series or what? Yuk!
Oh man, I keep meaning to bring that up and keep forgetting.
The very first line gives me such powerful douche chills I immediately have to fast forward. I have never once heard the second line of that “song.” The maybe three seconds of the song I’ve heard are wretchedly awful.
It reminds me of Leelee Sobieski’s poem.
I like the song… at least the short bit of it. Never really paid a whole lot of attention to the words though.
I’m still watching… even if only to understand the NY Observer and Flavorwire recaps better.
Not having listened to anything by her, is that theme song typical of Fiona Apple?
Caveat: I’m sure I’ve heard something by her in the background without realizing who it was.
Well, since it seems to be the case that the detective is questioning Noah and Alison during two differing time periods, there’s a lot of speculation that he’s questioning them about two different murders.
eta: One of which might well be either Noah or Alison.
I don’t remember all the clues to there being different time periods. In the last episode the detective was outed as a liar about his family situation rather than it having changed. There is Allison’s hair though.
I had no idea Secondary Drowning was even a thing. Read up on it and it sounds like a nightmare come to life.
The show isn’t perfect but I find both families interesting so I am still in.
Well, that was different. Seems like more happened in that episode than the rest of the season. Of all the “how could they remember things so differently” reactions, I have to say… How the hell could they have remembered things so differently??? At any rate, as soon as he paid off that tow truck guy, I thought: Is he ever fucked now.
I’m kind of disappointed they ended things with such a WTF moment. I sort of feel like the writers have been deceiving us all along.
So all of what happened in that episode led to…Noah and Alison with a daughter and a swank apartment in the city? Ok.
Tune in next year, I guess. In a lot of ways, I wish it hadn’t been renewed.
Trying to figure things out thru the “deception” is what I like about the show I guess.
If the entire show was chronoligical the WTF moment would have seemed especially odd but we know that they will probably go back and fill things in.
I’m going to rewatch the tow-truck guy part…when Noah first saw him in the parking lot it looked like he was surprised that the guy would be brought in. Was there a lapse of time?.. because it doesn’t seem like the would have already set up a plan to record Noah.
I’m really disappointed- I would have thought they would have at least revealed some aspect of the crime or after affects of its. After a whole season- I don’t feel we know anything except the brother is dead…we don’t know how it happened, when it happened, etc. There are several of what feels like false starts. It happened the night of a party but I can think of two separate parties (one at the in-laws house and one for the asshole author getting a reward) but nothing that seems connected with the murder happened after either of them. The only tow truck incident I can remember happened with the flat tire back when we thought it was the restaurant boss that was going to be killed off but that doesn’t seem to be true. I’m so bored with Noah and Allison- we get it- they’re sick for each other and pretty selfish (esp. Noah)- but how does it relate to the crime? This show reminds of of The Killing- I can understand leaving some questions at the end of the season but to answer nothing just pisses me off…
Yeah, that’s the one thing that annoys me: We the audience have no idea why Noah would want to get the tow truck guy to change his story, so that entire plot twist feels hollow.
Otherwise I’m loving it. I particularly liked the teacher purgatory, which is a real thing in NYC. I thought that was a great device to get Noah to write his masterpiece.
Maybe I’m remember things incorrectly (hah!), but doesn’t the tow-truck guy place Noah near “The End”, which he told the cop he had never heard of?
How would breaking down near a hotel give you knowledge of that hotel? He called a tow truck from his cell phone and never physically moved more than 10 feet from his car.
We know for certain that nobody was murdered until months after Noah’s flat tire, because that happened during the summer but in this episode (months later) we saw Scott alive. We also saw the diner owner guy alive long after that scene.
If the investigation is about a murder of someone else, that someone else hasn’t been introduced yet.
EDIT: Actually, wait a minute. We only saw Scott alive in Noah’s memory. So technically maybe Noah made that up to throw the cop off the trail. Alison’s memory doesn’t include Scott. The daughter is warning them about possible statutory rape charges against Scott, and the whole family seems worried about those charges, but I suppose it’s not entirely impossible that Noah & Alison killed Scott while the family just thinks Scott moved or something. But that would be super weak writing, I think.
I thought that was part of the detective’s set-up. The tow truck driver was put there specifically for Noah to see him and freak out. Remember how Noah was pissed off about being brought in just for one seemingly trivial question about his car?
