Anyone still watching? As much as find these self-absorbed New Yorkers irritating, the story still drags me back in. The way the writers handled the guy stalking Noah seemed heavy handed, and it was oh-so-convenient that a new love connection arrives on the scene who just happens to be French. Still, it’s got me watching and looking forward to next week.
Brendan Frasier!
Noah takes self-absorbed to a whole new level. I literally cringed when Helen asked “what about us?” and Noah, apparently bewildered, answered “what about us?” This after telling her to wait for him during a prison visit. Ouch.
It’s an elegant, well-acted, and handsomely produced soap opera.
I did a double take when the credits rolled. I did not recognize him!
3 years in prison can change a man.
All that’s missing is a long lost relative to show up!
Here’s a soapy question: who do you think is Joanie’s actual father?
I have a crush on Noah’s sister. Did we know he had one? Has his family been involved with the story before? My memory of this show is failing me.
This is the show with the cut price Jessica Chastain right?
I am a little bit mystified on how a blond, big blue eyed baby changed into a dark hair, brown eyed 4 year old. Especially since it was hinted I think by Scotty that he recognized at once it must be Cole’s baby.
I am still hooked on this despite the fact that I really, really hate Noah. Even his selfless act of going to prison for Helen (or Alison, if he knows, can’t remember) can’t redeem him- he’s just grade A creep…
I had to reach back far in my memory but yes, both his sister and his father have appeared before. I believe his father was living with his sister, and I vaguely recall a scene where his father is watching baseball and being a jerk to Noah.
Am I right in recalling that Alison pushed Scotty in front of the car?
Yes, they were on the side of the road and she pushed him. It didn’t look like she knew a car was coming but he wouldn’t have been hit if she hadn’t pushed him. I can’t remember if Noah knows about it or if he just felt so much guilt at screwing over Helen that he took the fall for her.
I remember that now. Noah was there with his son and the father treated the son much nicer.
Don’t we KNOW that it’s Cole?
In Allison’s version of events, Noah saw her and knows she pushed Scotty. In Noah’s version, it’s not clear. Allison pushed him (according to her version of events) because Scotty was attempting to sexually assault her.
BTW, the actor who plays Scotty does a really good drunk/druggie!!
I’m still watching. Don’t really care for the turn it has taken but I’m sure I’ll stick it out. The scene with the oldest daughter and her photographer boyfriend was the highlight so far this season (ep 2).
Every parent’s nightmare!
Creepy Brandon Frasier is Creeeeeeeepy!! Is that a prosthetic, or did he really pork it up? They should rename this show: * Everyone Wants to Fuck Noah (including some of the guys)*.
If this show was still on the rails, it’s careening wildly off them now. The *Everyone Wants to Fuck Noah *show is getting really old, and why is he still obsessed with Alison?
This latest episode was such a steaming turd. We had to sit through that god awful dinner party yet again, I don’t give a shit about miss hot French love teacher and I’m so sick of every female wanting to fuck Noah within seconds of meeting him for no reason I can understand other than really shitty episode writing. None of the people at that dinner speak like actual human beings.
Are they really going to make “Who stabbed Noah?” into a thing? I think he stabbed himself. They made a point to show he was holding a knife, seems to me he had a jolt of shoulder pain and grabbed his neck forgetting he had a knife in his hand.
Wtf re the paramedics leaving Juliette sitting alone on the street covered in blood? Like there were no cops there? Just a woman by herself covered in blood.
God I hated this episode.
The way everyone wants to bang Noah and I completely don’t get it reminds me of how everyone in Rescue Me wanted to bang Tommy but I at least there the explanation was Dennis Leary wrote and created that show.
They are university students. That may or may not qualify as “human beings”.
BTW, has any character, at any time, used any other word other than “fuck” when talking about sexual intercourse? I’m no prude, and I don’t hesitate to drop the “F” bomb, but it’s kind of jarring to hear it over and over and over again, instead of “make love” or “get laid” or almost anything else.
The two perspectives situation is back!
Actually, I’m not sure whether the first part was a perspective or actual.
It never went away. The first perspective was Cole’s.
And now we have Alison and Cole getting it on again. What could possibly go wrong with that?
