Well, first of all, it wouldn’t help here because it’s a civil case. Second, that’s almost an impossible standard to meet, even if you have a court appointed lawyer who falls asleep during trial. I’ve never seen it successful (or even tried) when a defendant hires his own counsel. If that’s his plan it’s a very stupid one.
The resumption/renewal/repeated Carroll defamation trial is live today. The judge is not having with Habba. Trump is the usual asshole.

After the jury left the courtroom for the break, Kaplan told Habba, “You should refresh your memory about how it is you get a document into evidence.”
It’s not the first time Kaplan has admonished Habba today.* Earlier, he told her that in his courtroom and any other federal courtroom she needed to stand while speaking. And after Kaplan denied her earlier motion to not hold the trial on Thursday and the judge told her to sit down, Habba said, “I don’t like to be spoken to that way.”

But what if you combine it with an objection that “T.0he judge was biased against me because I set a lynch mob after his clerk?” Are we getting closer?
It’s mind-boggling to me that when the judge corrects her, all she keeps saying is “sure“.

Mind-boggling? No. It’s really keeping me on the edge of my seat. I’m hoping that this happens very soon: the judge makes a decision she doesn’t like, then she rolls her eyes and says “Whatever”.
The whole thing about delaying the proceedings so that he can attend his MILs (Melaniamom’s) funeral (the Judge nixed this idea) …
