You could be right. I’ve found other references online to a 7-foot sister, but it’s hard to know if they didn’t use Wikipedia as a source. None go into detail or provide cites.
Yeah, her reaction totally squicked me out as well. He’s not a puppy.
Really really rooting for Jet and Cord to win this, and I think they’ve got what it takes to do it (barring some crazy bad luck and/or bad decision making like leaving clues behind).
Almost as badly, though, I’m rooting for team models to crash and buurrrrnn. If I hear “I’m the last women in the race, I’m such a competitorrr” I am going to throw something at the screen. Didn’t I just see you whining and taking about quitting a few episodes ago?
Didn’t the detectives forget to pick up the clue from the clue box outside the dress shop? I thought they were face a penalty.
No, they got the clue and then proceeded to wander aimlessly looking for the dress shop. Let me add TAR Tip #27: If a clue box right by a door, as opposed to out in the open, you’re probably supposed to go through that door.
I was thinking that the Cowboys were going to lose a bag. The camera seemed to linger a little too long on Cord saying that he was leaving his bag in the taxi.
honestly I used to be an avid Amazing Race watcher, but this season seems to lack something or perhaps I’m getting bored with this show.
The only team worth getting behind would be the Cowboys. I’m not exactly rooting for the cops or the brother duo. The models shoulda been out a long time ago yet they’re still in it. I missed the week where the lesbians were eliminated and perhaps that was a good episode but I’m not too into this season. They need some interesting teams, no more filling out the mandatory race/gay quota. Lets see a celebrity or all star version.
The episode when the lesbians were eliminated was pretty par for the course this season, though it was notable because the models demonstrated capable racing skills you could point to to refute the idea that they should have been out long ago.
Watching at home, I hope that Caite is realizing that yes, she is exactly as stupid as Carol and Brandy said that she is, because she let herself be manipulated into U-Turning the wrong team. There is no way to justify not using that tool against the Cowboys, and barring a Strange Twist of Fate, it’s going to cost her.
Brent and Caite aren’t going to win and I think, deep down, they know that. Tis better to compete against people you like than be forced to deal with those you hate.
And I agree with Fenris, not one team stuck up for Brandy and Carol after their ouster. And the brothers only had a problem with it because it wasn’t strategic. They were not well-liked people and that bit them in the end.
We debated this 2 weeks ago. Using the U-turn against Carol & Brandy was strategically defensible. When the models got to the U-turn, the only teams they could be sure were behind them were the cowboys & the lesbians. Knowing that they (the models) are not a strong team, they still needed to be thinking “We don’t want to lose this leg”, not “We want to win the race”. In that case, it makes strategic sense to U-turn the weakest team behind you, hopefully knocking them so far back that they can’t catch up, even if you screw up in the next couple of tasks. Not that any of that is likely to have gone through Caite’s mind, but it is certainly a viable strategic move.
It’s amazing how much common sense the Cowboys have. After the wind debacle, Cord (?) immediately went and got the folding chairs and started setting them down on his puzzle pieces so they wouldn’t blow away again. They do the little things right, and that’s why I like them so much.
Dan and Jordan are growing on me, too. Again we see a great example of how to calm down a racing partner who is experiencing KF.
He also stayed with the pieces instead of running after them like Brent, who lost a lot more.
And started stripping down and throwing his clothes, pack, etc. on the pieces before he went for the chairs. I don’t know that Brent would’ve thought of it if he hadn’t seen the Cord do it.
