If he has a couple of months of some semblance of free rein, pre-incarceration, I can see Don being a pest by keeping an eye on moderate R’s RINOS supporting bipartisan bills and making sure they get primaried, ensuring the larding of what I’ve been refering to as the SFLP (Sore Fuckin Loser Party).

I don’t think Trump has ever or will ever define a RINO by their voting record or political agenda. It’s all about their attitude toward Trump himself.
No, and I wonder if even Pence thought it would make any difference. Still, Pence appeared to go public with his opposition to the coup and I think that’s a good sign.

It’s now almost an hour past starting time for Trump’s Nuremburg Rally, and the smallish, shivering crowd has seen neither orange hide nor hair of him. The sound system has been playing Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer”, followed by “Macho Man”. Credit where credit is due: I guess the streaming feed is hooked directly into the mixing board; the sound quality is excellent.
I enjoyed their playing the theme to Titanic earlier, seemed rather apropos.
That merits at least half a beep for implying that trump knows anything due to having learned something. The last new thing he learned was how to tweet. Since then, nothing.

There is a very big difference between “Trump was told XYZ” and “Trump learned (or knows) XYZ”. I blame sloppy speaking by the advisor quoted by Acosta quoted by @JohnT.
Trump has been for a while now multitupling down on his usual pattern of saying to the space in general, to nobody in particular at the same time as anybody around, “I want THIS to happen” in the expectation somebody, anybody, will find a way, ANY way, to make it happen. To the point he at times touts X, Y or Z "new’ harebrained strategy from this or that new member of his brilliant team, even when he has never met her and it is already failing. And then even if someone does try he won’t even have that person’s back when they fail, he’ll just knock them for being weak – which makes you wonder why does anybody still hang on. But hang on they do.

It probably should be “constrains” but I’m glad Pence seems to intend not to violate democracy. I’ve been wondering if even he was tired of the trump bullying, especially when it’s coming at him personally instead of someone else.
