The American Public is Fucking Gruesome

Like I said, I don’t think that’s a necessary part of the analogy. Bin Laden and the Nazi leadership (and the reaction of the US to both) are not perfect comparisons by any means, but there are some points of comparison between the two that can be useful. Making comparisons on those points does not necessarily require or imply a comparison on other points.

I agree with this part, but I don’t see it as disparaging towards Islam. One can make this comparison without engaging in a moral equivalency between the two groups.

The internet was a dream come true for me, starting back with Dan’s Gallery of the Grotesque.

I’m pretty topped off at this point, though, I dont’ think there’s anything left that I haven’t seen. One thing I’ve learned: I have an ultra-high tolerance for the gore of people who are already dead, but I have just about zero tolerance for watching people actually die. At least up close… I saw one video that I think was from bosnia— very close up, guy getting his throat cut in a manner that never occurred to me: insert knife into the side of the neck and pull. It was genuinely horrifying. It cured me of all desire to watch someone die violently ever again. Because of that, I spared myself all the beheading videos, thank god.

Then don’t try to change it. How I feel is not for you to change or control. That’s pretty damn arrogant, don’t you think?

Here is some of the “fatwa to declare jihad” of 23 February 1998, signed by Bin Laden and others. It was a declaration of war by terror, a call to murder Americans everywhere. By the way, I am from new York. There very easily could have been MY family members in those two buildings. It could have been me for that matter. So excuse me if I feel good that the rat bastard is finally dead. Grim satisfaction or drunken dancng in the strees, whatever. You don’t tell people to not feel anger or want vengeance against at a mass murderer, you KILL the mass murderer.
*February 23, 1998 fatwa to declare jihad

“…All these crimes and sins committed by the Americans are a clear declaration of war on God, his messenger, and Muslims. And ulema have throughout Islamic history unanimously agreed that the jihad is an individual duty if the enemy destroys the Muslim countries. This was revealed by Imam Bin-Qadamah in “Al- Mughni,” Imam al-Kisa’i in “Al-Bada’i,” al-Qurtubi in his interpretation, and the shaykh of al-Islam in his books, where he said: “As for the fighting to repulse [an enemy], it is aimed at defending sanctity and religion, and it is a duty as agreed [by the ulema]. Nothing is more sacred than belief except repulsing an enemy who is attacking religion and life.” On that basis, and in compliance with God’s order, we issue the following fatwa…” “The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies – civilians and military – is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy mosque [Mecca] from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam…”*

Al Qaeda declared war with the US. Bin Laden was one of the chief signatories, and a prime instigator. He planned and financed it. He extolled the suicide bombers and many others to go killing. In the end, Osama was killed by US soldiers in warfare.
After the first Gulf War, after the "western dogs were gone from ths so called “holy place” the terror killings continued. Maybe you need to do a little research and maybe find out why that monster had such a hard on for the west. It may open your eyes some. In the meanwhile, don’t presume to lecture people on how to react to the news of his final destruction.

I’m sorry to hear that. Although I’m glad to hear you have saw it on the intra webs .

Real life has burned me to my core ; not to mention the video of the guy getting his head cut off by al queda — that was the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen.

If Finn stretched any further he’d be a giraffe.
