The Apprentice 12/8/05 -- countdown to coronation

I also couldn’t believe Randal’s performance thus far. As someone said above, creative editing can only make you look so bad, you’ve got to give the editors something to work with. I used to plan small scale events (200 people, max) and these final task are always hard for me to watch.

I was coming completely unglued watching Randal get berated by the Outback guy while his poor teammate was setting up outside, by himself. The Outback guy should have never had to say anything. And why the hell didn’t Randal hire a set-up crew?? It couldn’t have cost that much. Mr. Lezlers had to practically restrain me, I was yelling at the TV so much during that scene. And Party City? Ugh, I don’t even want to think about that, I may end up throwing something at my television, even though the show is long over.

I am very, very dissapointed in Randal and can only hope he redeems himself next week.

And I must say, it was hysterical when Caroline shook her head as Rebecca asked for Toral of all people, to be on her team. That was priceless. There were so many other better, less obnoxious candidates to choose from. Toral? Ugh.

I know that Randal was muttering about his budget, but I, too, have trouble believing that there wasn’t enough to hire some day labourers to do grunt work. Something seemed very, very off, and, as mentioned so many times already, it couldn’t all be editing.

I like Randal so much better than Rebecca, but as it stands now, I’d hire Rebecca. And then transfer myself to a different office. She’s just so cold. She’s extremely polite, but it’s hard to tell if it’s natural or cultivated.

Has she relaxed for one minute? She’s handled herself perfectly, every week. No bug eyes from her, nosirree.

Did I miss them saying who the other 3 comedians for that show would be? Not that I have anything against Joe Piscapo, but if I go to an all-star comedy benefit and he’s the biggest star, I might be a little pissed.

Piscopo is the emcee. They didn’t say who the other comedians would be.

How did the show start? I was excited to see the Donald enter the loft to tell the final two about it, but as most of you probably know, we had some big news in Chicago last night, so they didn’t cut back into the show until Randal and Rebecca were at dinner with Caroline and George.

It started with a recap of last week’s task, including the boardroom, with Felisha and Alla being fired. You didn’t miss much. Longest recap ever, I think.

Randall is gonna win it. I simply do not buy the exaggerated idiocy the editing is attempting to portray. In the finale, I predict the show will try to make both candidates look good. They’ll both come up with great saves, deal with crises, etc. This is a smokescreen to throw viewers off and generate drama for the final decision by Trump.

Trump has to have a “tough” choice between two “highly qualified” candidates at the end, or the show won’t follow the storybook script.

I cannot see any way that Trump will not hire Randall, short of him serving up steaming fresh turd sandwiches in decorative megaphones to the VIPs.

Hey yourself!
Speaking of water, how did you do Friday with the storm? Thunder and lightning and snow makes for an interesting combination!
