Temperatures dropped 41° in less than two hours in Boulder. 66°F at 11 AM, 25° right now. Snowing, too. Welcome to winter.
Yesterday I mowed my lawn wearing a T-shirt and was sweating when I got done.

According to The Weather Channel, it’s winter storm ‘Astro’.
I’ll spare you my rant on the stupidity of naming winter storms.
I’m not looking forward to driving home tonight.
I’m excited only because I bought a new car this summer and I want to see how it handles in the snow. This is tempered by the fact that on highway 93 people drive like morons on the first snowfall of the year. Present company excluded of course (if any of you share my commute).
It’s pretty blustery and snowy up here in Summit County. Winter is late this year.
Time for Southern Ontario to activate the western weather wall again…
Here in Colorado Springs the day started out sunny and pleasant and warmish, but there’s a nasty cold wind and ominous looking clouds blowing in. Time to bring the rest of the potted plants inside.
That should be fun. Snow falling on 65° roads and icing up when it falls to (now) 24°. At least it isn’t blowing anymore like it was this morning. 93 is a deathtrap with fresh snow and wind.
On Friday I mentioned to a coworker “I hope it snows soon so I can wear my cool, new winter boots!”. Next day the snow hit.
I think I’m going to regret wishing for snow! I’m in Edmonton btw so I won’t see green now till May. Waaaaaaaahhh!
ruh-roh! Yes, I agree with your sentiment on the naming thing.
Sorry to tell you folks that it is sunny and upper 70s here in interior Northern CA today. We could use some rain, tho, so feel free to send some of that moisture and snow our way.
The winter storm prediction for my area has just been updated. Instead of 12-20 inches, we’re now gonna get 15-25" by Wednesday morning. Unless you live a few miles west of me, where the prediction is 25-35".
I’m actually giddy over it. Yay snow!
No kidding! It is supposed to get down to 55 degrees overnight! Brrrr.

I’m not far from you in SE Wyoming, and a low of -6 is predicted for Tuesday night. We’ve been having such a nice autumn that this is a bit of a shock. We expect temps like this in January and February, but not in early November.
We’re going to be a balmy 2 above. High of 11 on Wednesday.
Lucky bastards! I went to the beach at Tahoe today. Very Un-November.
Do me a favor, can you please say: “I hope Shakes wins the lottery tomorrow.”
The front is supposed to be hitting us tonight. I can’t wait! I’m making a delicious cheesy bacon and chicken casserole tomorrow. Perfect for this kind of weather.
I want to cry.
If we don’t name them, how will they know to come when we call?
No wind, but several accidents and it took twice as long as it normally does. I even left work 2 hours early just to be safe; I’ll bet all the poor souls driving now are in purgatory.
Actually it’s really winter storm “Tralfaz.”
