I saw it yesterday and I LOVED it. I was almost afraid to see it because I loved the book so much. It was very well done, and Costner, surprisingly, was perfect as Enzo.
I’m tentatively interested in seeing this. There seems to be a strong trend the last few years in Hollywood for dog based, tear jerking, sap-o-ramas - which I like. Still, they seem to be returning top this particular bowl of kibble a little too often. I might see it in the theater but I’m sure I’ll rent it when available.
Waiting out the weekend crowds but I WILL see it. The book was magic. Ugly crying will commence.
I think the reason that the story resonates with so many people is that we so want to believe that our dogs do understand what e’re saying to them. We want to believe that they understand how much we love them, that they understand that they are family, and that they love us us just as much as we love them.
