The Badger appreciation thread.

I have to agree with you Gangster about the offense, although as a Madison grad and also a Madison dad (my daughter’s a sophomore) I’m as shocked as anyone regarding quarterback Stocco’s amazing performance the last couple of games.

Well. Amazing relative to the normal quarterbacks we get a Tailback U. We actually have demonstrated a passing attack. Will wonders never cease?

And the defense is unbelievable. I’ll be at the Northwestern game this weekend. GO RED!

Shodan, are you related to Thomas?
As an aside, I’m also happy because Michigan State whooped Minnesota. (My son is a senior at State).

He’s my nephew.

He is like his father - good at everything, and too personable and easy-going to resent. A genuinely nice kid.

Regards,
Shodan

Very cool. Based on the article you linked to he sounds like a kid anyone could be proud of. I wish him the best.

It’s within 30 days, so I hope I don’t get in trouble for the bump.

I said it before, I’ll say it again. It’s likely the furry critters will get screwed.

Oh, and to the USC used-Trojans. I played your sorry asses on a combo last week. Utah covered the over, yet you couldn’t cover a -17.5 spread against OrefuckingGone State. Number one ranking? Keep sending the crack to the voters and you may just be able to stay there.
If it wasn’t cleared up earlier, I meant Mich St. Not Michigan. But seeing as Moore is such a Spartan fan, all the moore ( ) reason to cheer on the Badgers.

Yay! My team! UW grad 2000 checking in.

Yeah, we’ll get screwed. There will be no national title for us, because the whole system is ass-backward. But we’re great, and there’s no denying it.

Go Badgers!

Lots of friendly tension in the Algernon household this week.

As mentioned above, my son is a senior at Michigan State, and my daughter is a Sophomore at Madison. (I’m a Madison grad myself so my wife, to make the sides even, wears MSU green whenever our two teams play).

My son tells me that the campus is psyched about this game. MSU pretty much has to win their remaining games in order to get a bowl bid. They’re liking their spoiler role.

Barry Alvarez (the UW coach, for those readers outside the area) has done a good job keeping the team focused and humble. Let’s hope they’re also prepared for quite a fight on Saturday.

On the other hand, if the MSU quarterback (Stanton) is still hurt and doesn’t play, it might not be the tough contest people are expecting.

Also the Athletic Director of all Badger sports. (Go Fighting Sioux hockey!)*
*I’m a fan of Badger BB and football since my school is DII. But when it comes to hockey…
