Damn, I gave up on the WI Purdue game sometime in the 3rd quarter. I thought with a mediocre offense we were sunk. I forgot we have one of the best defenses.
Undefeated, bay-bee! 7-0 overall, 4-0 Big Ten. You want some of this Michigan?
Even going undefeated, we’ll get screwed somehow in a chance at the national title, but I’m gonna enjoy this as long as it lasts.
I wish we did play Michy this year. Then we wouldn’t have to listen to the whole “you didn’t deserve the title” talk. Funny how when Mich or OSu wins the conf, it’s in spite of the brutal conference schedule. When anyone else does, it’s a “down year for the Big 10”.
That was a hell of a football game. Shame Erasmus got knocked out (and yeah, I think it was a dirty play).
The key from here on out is to avoid an upset. They’ll be favored in every game, but that doesn’t mean a thing to me. This is a fun team to watch; that defense is unlike any I’ve ever seen.
Even in their best years, the Badgers are always good for one loss. To be undefeated this far into the season is practically uncharted territory. I’d be happily shocked and amazed if they can avoid a letdown the rest of the year. I’m thinking mostly of the 28-21 loss to Minnesota in 1993 that ruined a possible slot in the national championship game. They’ll need some (more likely, a lot of) help to get to the Orange Bowl. We can’t expect to crack the USC, Oklahoma, Auburn, Miami gang without some major upsets on their parts. But then again, the Milwaukee paper invoked the memory of the 2002 Buckeyes…who knows?
Right now, I’m looking forward a Wisconsin-Cal Rose Bowl. If they stopped Kyle Orton, they can do the same to Aaron Rodgers…
I was thrilled by the Badgers win on Saturday, but honestly, they aren’t the quality of the USC or Oklahoma this year. Their offense is lacking (although this is easily the best defnsive team I have ever seen at Madison).
