This is the only evening of the week where the 8:00pm bed time is not negotiable for our two kids. The other nights we essencially don’t bother turning on the TV except if we’ve completely exhausted all other options.
Friends - don’t know why I watch the show but I can still stomach it so I do.
Will and Grace - let’s face it, Jack and Karen are the biggest reasons for watching the show.
Just Shoot Me - still funny as long as I can stomach the whining from Maya.
ER - still a great show from start to finish.
Now, have any of you seen those new shows with Gena Davis and Bette Middler? What do you think of them? When are they on and on what network?
I try and not miss Thursday night TV on NBC. Any other night, no big deal. I actually did miss the Friends premiere last week though so I’m going to have to catch up tonight. Was the premiere of Friends pretty good?
You are right about Will & Grace, Karen and Jack make the show. The show should change the name to Karen and Jack or maybe “Just Jack!”. She is absolutely hilarious!
As far as either the Gena Davis or Bette Middler show goes I have seen neither one. I like Bette Middler and think the show may be funny but I just keep hearing so many bad reviews on it that I’m afraid to start watching it and get into it and then they pull the plug on it.
You are both, of course, dead wrong. The best (and practically only) night of TV is Tuesday, for Buffy and Angel.
Every other night I’m more likely to ignore my tv entirely. Tuesdays I leave work early to catch Buffy.
I like Thursday nights too. I can’t wait for the season premiere of Frasier!
As for the Geena Davis show and Bette… I watched the premiere of the Geena Davis show and I wasn’t too impressed. She’s just not funny at all. I don’t plan on watching it again. She doesn’t seem to be able to pull of a comedic role… she should play the straight man.
I still watch Friends. Still enjoyable for me. As for Buffy and Angel, I’d never watch those. But assuming I were to watch them Tuesday(which I never do) and I had to leave Buffy early, could somebody tell me what happened after Spike went into the doctor’s office with the crossbow?
I turn on the TV two times a week. Wednesdays to watch “The West Wing” and “Law & Order” and on Thursdays to watch “ER”.
So I think I have to give the edge to Wednesday.
DISCLAIMER: The only channels for which I get good enough reception to watch are NBC and Univsion - and I don’t speak Spanish. So, for me, this question boils down to which night is the best night for NBC.
Whoa. You say that Thursday shows are merely tolerable, saying you don’t know why you watch “Friends”, you can bearly stomach it, say the best part of “Will & Grace” are the supporting roles, “Just Shoot Me” you use the words “stomach” and “whining”.
So why not watch the REAL best night of television, which is WEDNESDAY? “West Wing” is quite possibly the best show on TV since ER’s second season. And “Law & Order” continues to pump out incredibly powerful shows.

Best 2 hours of TV ever.
Oops. Sorry for any simulpost. Also, I hate to admit it, but “Survivor” will also be on Wednesdays before “West Wing”.
If Survivour were dependant on me to save it, they’d call that show Lost Without a Trace. Just the idea of the show was enough to put me to sleep.
I’ve heard good things about that West Wing show. I try to remember to turn it on one Wednesday night. I’ve watched Law & Order from time to time. It’s good but again, I keep forgetting to tune in on a weekly basis.
I also vote like Wednesday, but for different shows than the ones mentioned earlier.
ST Voyager
South Park
Battlebots
However, Sunday is still the night to watch TV:
Futurama
Simpsons
The Man Show
Xena
NFL Primetime
It is the only night I spend all evening with the TV on.
I’d never watch Buffy either, but I had an interesting dream that exactly paralleled the show. (What are the odds?) I’ll e-mail you a description to save on board bandwidth.
