The Big Bang Theory 12/13--The Santa Simulation

They are impressive, indeed. But it sure seems they avoid profile shots on her- that is one enormous nose she has on her.

Or that’s where the skepticism started. Five years old is a pretty young age for Santa to die on you. It could leave one hell of an impression on a young mind.

I don’t think it was Santa that died, it was his ‘Paw Paw’ (Grandfather) and he asked Santa to bring him back and he couldn’t.

Yeah, I get that. I saw the episode too. I was roughly referring that special time in a young child’s life when it discovers that Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the soul cake duck, what-have-you, doesn’t exist. It’s just your dad in a red sweater and sweatpants. You could say that (well, I could say, and in fact did just that) is when such childhood gods “die”.

Sorry for the confusion.

When Amy told her woeful story of waking up after a frat party “with more clothes on”, the camera cut to Penny, and Kaley Cuoco just about lost it.

How come the other guys didn’t get upset that Raj brought his girlfriend to play D&D?

‘Seriously, say these things in your head first.’

“Sometimes my left hand tries to ‘cop a feel’…and I let it”

That was hilarious!

I missed the final minute, how did the show end? Last thing I saw was Santa with the cannon.

Boom!

I’d be willing to look past that.

Or below it.

There was a boom and Sheldon sat up in bed (i.e., it was only a dream).

This episode had a lot of laughs and some excellent eye candy, so I’m certainly not complaining.
But I do wish there’d been a stronger payoff to the Raj/Girl’s Night Out story line. It just sort of petered out at the end.
Maybe, though - just maybe - a night of bonding with the girls will help Raj get over his selective mutism, which stopped being funny about 4 seasons ago.

Raj doesn’t have a girlfriend because he’s a douchebag and asshole around women he is interested in. He had a deaf girlfriend for a while when Howard translated sign language for him. Howard filtered out a lot of Raj’s bad behavior.

Maybe Raj uses his mutism as an excuse because he figures he is “not himself” when inebriated. In that case, I prefer he would just stay quiet. Or better yet, the less he appears on the show, the better. I don’t really care about his character.

IIRC, the deaf girl that Raj dated turned out to be gold digger

Raj told her that if he married a ‘white’ girl, he would lose his inheritance. She left.

My complaints about Raj:
[ul]
[li]He didn’t used to be such a jerk in the first seasons[/li][li]He didn’t used to be such a loser[/li][li]He didn’t used to constantly spout phrases that scream “I’m gay”, while having the producers insist he is not gay (most specifically via the whole Bernadette dream sequences and his “Yep, I’m definitely not gay” statement)[/li][/ul]

I remember he was a lovable but shy guy who had trouble talking around women.

They have now turned him into a rich ambiguously gay douche bag.

Why, writers, why?

Thank you.
