You cannot make this shit up.
I can only assume they meant vehemently instead of viomently. Reminds me of a Christian publication lamenting Harry Potter and his “dual-to-the-death” with He Who Shall Not Be Named. They probably have a point. I used to imagine that the “aunts” on Sabrina the Teenage Witch were actually a lesbian couple raising their daughter.
I can’t get to the article from work. The “blocked page” message I get when I click on the link:
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Sure you can. The author of the article, Susan B. Xenu, does it all the time.
Actually, you can make it up. It’s from a parody site, not a real Christian site. Some of their other headlines:
Obama Murders George W. Bush’s Dog In Cold Blood
Obama Is A Kenyan, Proofed By Fly On Head
Gay Teen Worried He May Be Christian
Gays Trick God Into Burning Focus on Family Hometown in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Is Tumblr Stealing The Souls of Your Children?
Tim Tebow stiffens himself for new thrust; no longer soft on gays
Al-Quanada – The Canadian Plot To Destroy America Revealed!
Etc. Etc.
There seems to me, in my opinion, and other such qualifications, that there is plenty of gay stereotyped sub-texts in both shows.
The Three Stooges. What was going on there? Yeah, two of them were brothers, but not Larry Fine.
If BBT is atheist propanganda then somebody please come up with an explantion for how Sheldon could find a pretty girl that falls madely in love with him without an omnipotent deity being involved.
I was going to suggest the writer had never seen 2.5 men when they said it was about a gay couple raising their adopted son. I mean, neither of them are gay (but they seem to blur the line) and Jake isn’t adopted. But, whatever, they’re just trying to stir things up.
Then I saw this: “Amy turned out to be a female version of Sheldon.
Which in my mind is some sick allusion to masturbation, as he is in theory copulating with himself.”
Well, since we all know Sheldon isn’t copulating with anyone, I’m going to go back to what I said before. The writer has clearly not seen the show. I’m guessing they watched one or two episodes to write the story and then maybe asked other people what it was about to fill in some of the details.
ETA, while Raj and Howard are a bit lax when it comes to religion, they’re not Atheists.
it can’t be a satire site because it’s a true statement.
I once met a woman who wouldn’t use a “Dirt Devil” vaccum cleaner. It was clearly Satanic.
What’s more notable is that:
- each show is stuffed full of Jewish cues and references, even tho there’s maybe one character (Wallowitz) who’s “actually” Jewish
- each show has a lead character (Allen and Sheldon) who exhibits stereotypically gay behavior, up to but not including homosexuality
Then again, it ain’t show biz without Jews and gays, so maybe it’s a requirement.
I can’t believe any of you think that’s real!
Irrefutable Fact that Obama is a Brony
OTOH, this is entirely true. Especially “English Cars in General–Much like Germany, England is a country of sinful smutty filth. Just like their television programs that they export to the world to ruin it’s morals, their cars are cesspits of sin and damnation,” above a photo of a Bug-Eyed Sprite. And, “In 1961 the English, under the guise of car maker Jaguar created the ultimate in homosexual cars. The Jaguar E-type. It is a car that is shaped like a penis! Nothing can be gayer than that!” You just can’t argue with the truth.
I clicked on another story on the site because the link was a picture of a hot chick in a one-piece bikini. Turns out it was disparaging Transformers 3, but the same picture was not only huge and plastered in the middle of the article, the caption points out her camel toe. Can’t be a real site.
Still, the show is mostly atheistic, which speaks to me.
I am always dubious about people who criticize a TV show and insist people boycott it, especially when they can tell you every single thing that has happened in the show on every episode for the past three seasons.
Porn is also evil - and I have spent years and years and years researching porn sites to prove it!
Plus, what dude calls another dude “fine,” unless he’s hitting on him?
Unless, like the first dude is a doctor and has been giving the second dude a physical examination.
And it could still be both!
Ugh. I’ve also seen the opinion that The New Normal is “bullying” to good Christian folk.
I had a hilarious book as a kid called “The Devil’s Storybook.” The devil was a hapless Wyle E. Coyote character, his plots never worked out, and he always got his comeuppance in the end. Some good “and the moral of the story is…” moments.
I recommended it to my (extremely religious) in-laws for a gift, thinking that because the devil always gets his, it’d be acceptable, but… On the up side, we’ve never had to buy gifts for the insane number of nieces and nephews DH has again!
Attack on the BBC’s “Top Gear.”
Poe’s Law. I really can’t tell this isn’t satire.
