Finally, a funny episode!
Leonard channeling his inner John Travolta was scary. And isn’t it time they actually bought bigger beds?

I enjoyed it. I found the second half funnier than the first half and the last five minutes were really great.
Favorite moment: The flash photo to the face.
I am getting tired of Raj though. I don’t like what the writers have done with him. He doesn’t get many funny bits anymore. He is just creepy and so sets up funny bits for Howard and Bernadette.
They should have dumped the baby-trio plot completely and just gone with full Sheldon/Amy/Leonard/Penny. Every bit of that was gold - “Your bottom radiates enough heat I’m surprised there aren’t iguanas lying on it.” And I could watch Penny dance all day.
I enjoyed the “dancing Penny” quite a bit, myself. And Sheldon’s line about Amy’s posterior was hilarious!
It looks like they’re doing a story arc. Five weeks of cohabitation!
I LOVED Leonard dancing. I found it hysterical.
Does Mayim bite her nails? Her nails looked kind of chewed up when she was trying to close Sheldon’s jaw. (Maybe it was the lighting.)
Bernie’s finally showing a baby bump. The part with Call Raj/Hang Up/Call Him Again was great. It must be maddening knowing he knows and they don’t. I predict some boundary lines will be drawn.
Amy and Sheldon getting into a scientific method spat and then running off to make out was fun. I hope Amy takes a hint…that’s what gets Sheldon’s motor running.
The late night phone calls were off. I’m quite sure Raj’s phone has a distinct and embarrassing ring tone for Howard, not just the generic chirp. Of course Cinnamon had her own pillow and side of the bed.
Leonard’s beer belly was rather obvious this episode, wasn’t it?
Love the snoring and the physical comedy in the Shamy bed. Then the flash photography was a perfect end to the segment. But it seems to me that Amy would have simply moved to the couch rather than sleep on the floor.
In what universe would Bernadette allow Raj to sit in on a gyno visit?
I was thinking “YES!” when Leonard suggested the underwear dancing, but Penny’s underwear was about as unsexy as whatever Amy must wear.
I also wasn’t a fan of her overalls. She had some really cute clothes in the beginning, including a pair of pink flowered capri sweat pants I would LOVE to own.
Bernie can be strident at times, but I don’t think she’s a fan of conflict if it’s not Howard. I don’t see her banning Raj from the gyno visit.
It’s weird because it seems to be only his belly. Everything else looks about the same. Also revealed: Shamy only had sex that one time. He really did mean for it to be only a birthday thing. And I thought he said he liked it.
Did Sheldon actually say that he enjoyed the sex? I thought it was more of a “You know, that wasn’t as unpleasant as I feared that it might be” kind of thing. But my memory might not be accurate.
The confounding variables line was excellent.
The exchange was
Sheldon: “I enjoyed that more than I thought that would.”
Amy: “Me too!”
S: “I look forward to your next birthday when we do it again.”
A: “That works for me!”
So he did enjoy it, but also said it’s an annual event only.
The scene is currently on youtube.
This was a good episode. Penny and Leonard acted like people that actually enjoy each other’s company for once and the dancing really was funny.
But Raj really is the worst. Did the actor sleep with a writer’s wife or something? They have completely ruined that character.
They’ve turned Raj into the Stuart that lived in the house with them after Debbie died (as opposed to the sad-sack-but-not-stalker-creepy Stuart of before).
All the scenes with Penny/Leonard/Sheldon/Amy were great. I am coming to really dislike Bernadette, however. Sheldon is abrasive and annoying, but Bernadette is simply mean. Sheldon does thoughtless things because he has no social skills. Bernadette does thoughtless or mean things when she’s actually trying to hurt someone. Big difference.
And Raj has gone so far beyond creepy that even a comedy should be having the other characters distance themselves from him.
So many good one-liners.
“Why are you all smiling like crazy people.” -Sheldor
“Ok, you guys had sex 1 whole time.” - Penny (The Lincoln kind.)
“This seat is the sovereign soil of my bottom.” - Sheldor
“It was an accident. The Doctor left the folder out on the desk. It’s not my fault I opened it and looked.” - Raj
The Pants-Off-Dance-Off was beautifully choreographed. “But not this Smooth Criminal.” - Leo
“Now you’re making fun of my bonafides?” - Sheldor
It also seems that Penny’s hair is back to its original length. Hair extensions?
That’s what my wife thinks. She spotted the new length immediately.
It’s time they reintroduced Amy’s mother. I wonder how she is reacting to Amy’s new living arrangements.
Since Sheldon told Amy’s mom he was going to “make love to her (Amy’s) vagina” a while ago via Skype, I don’t think she’d be too shocked.
I agree that Raj is getting beyond creepy, but I really think we’re headed toward some set-up where he becomes Bernadette and Howard’s nanny.
He lost his position at the university once, and was freaked out about being deported; he should have freaked out again when Sheldon transferred to the teaching faculty, and switched to dark matter, because presumedly, Raj lost his job with Sheldon. I guess the writers are either hoping no one notices, or are going to throw in some line about playing out Sheldon’s grant (not likely, but who knows). Anyway, I fully anticipate some episode where Howard has to take care of the baby by himself, and panics, and calls the guys; Sheldon won’t want to go; Leonard will spend most of his time calming down Sheldon and Howard. Meanwhile, Raj will do 99% of the babycare, except for some tiny but important thing Sheldon will accidentally do, like singing the baby to sleep with “Soft Kitty.”
Bernadette will be trying to go back to work, and be going crazy with babycare, Howardcare, and work, and it’ll be a little like a repeat of who will take care of Howard’s mother, except this time, it’ll be very easy for Bernadette to realize they need to hire someone, and they hire Raj, who needs a job to stay in the US anyhow.
