I clicked on the link. Like a lot of websites for commercial establishments, there’s a button labeled “locations” that goes to a page that shows where the actual House of Pies restaurants are. There are only two of them.
And one of them hasn’t even opened yet.
“Apple?”
“Well, I’m afraid we don’t get much call for it around these parts, sir.”
Probably the best part of last night’s episode was the discovery that ‘2 Broke Girls’ has finally gone off the air (except for syndication, unfortunately). I had to look it up for fear that this was some sort of crossover episode.
Has it really? I didn’t know that. I was figuring that Nell obviously couldn’t become a permanent love interest for Raj, because Beth Behrs has a series of her own to do. I didn’t realize that 2 Broke Girls had (finally!) been cancelled.
I think they were establishing that Raj has found a pool of woman attracted to a good-looking, well-dressed science talking guy (you wouldn’t think woman attracted to that sort would be that hard to find, but of course Raj has/had other issues). Then him actually getting a date from someone who attended a show is more believable.
I did also like the bit in which Raj is experimenting with the length of dramatic pauses - he’s just the kind of person to notice that a bit of a pause makes him more effective, and to try to extend the pause to increase the effect.
I liked the episode mostly because I’m liking curly-haired Raj. Still sort of a creepy, kinda selfish jerk but much less pathetic.
Is it me or has marriage not been kind to Penny and Leonard? It is wearing on them like the Presidency weighs on the office holder, aging them at an advanced rate.
While not the funniest episode I liked the character growth. Raj is no longer dependent on others. It began with weaning off of Dad’s money and now he and Howard are less entwined. He can have other buds to share pie with. He is not clingy to a woman interested in him but happy that she is giving her husband another chance. And Sheldon is becoming a real person too.
