The Big Bang Theory, Season 9, Episode 2 (September 28, 2015) -- "The Separation Oscillation"

I am starting this thread in anticipation of tonight’s episode.

It hasn’t aired yet, but it’s their worst episode ever.

At least Kaley Cuoco is kissing Johnny Galecki again, now that she’s getting divorced.

It occurred to me that Kaley Cuoco had to know that her marriage was pretty much over when she filmed the last episode with the wedding and the vows and suchlike.

Yeesh.

i’m looking forward to your comments on this one.

How long until the credit once again reads “Kaley Cuoco?”

It may just be the cynic in me, but I knew her marriage was doomed when she changed her professional name.

Yeah, I wanted to call her radioactive but I feared the backlash.

ETA: I’m agreeing with silenus, everyone!

Oh, that’s what the rocking chair was talking about in the other thread. Gave me the willies, it did.

Uh-oh. I think that’s #368 on the list of Signs of the Impending Apocalypse™.

After seeing tonight’s episode, I have the following observations:

  1. Raj still doesn’t have enough to do. Whatever happened to Emily?
  2. It’s a hell of a note when the guest star is wittier and more interesting than most of the regular cast.
  3. Sheldon should be taken out to die screaming on a burning cross. I mean, I know his humor value lies in being oblivious and self centered, but this just ain’t funny. Not that he’s done anything really unforgiveable, but Sheldon IS capable of limited reflection, and the writers have simply decided to play him as a complete self centered ass.

There are ways to make this funny. Tonight wasn’t offensive or anything, but he just ain’t funny.

I LOVED Mandy!

He’s going through his first break-up. That’s the kind of crap you do. Don’t you remember? Well, I didn’t of course, but guys are complete neanderthals about it.

Seriously, though, what the heck WAS Rocking Chair on about?!? The flashback to Howard’s Mom? What purpose did that serve, anyway?

I just couldn’t believe that was all of the episode. The ad time is just wayyyyy out of proportion. From now on I watch it on cbs.com. Way less wasted time there.

  1. We finally heard Penny’s last name.

Rocking chair was on about Penny and Sheldon making out. Surely that was a bit of a shocker. As for all of you trying to ship Penny and Sheldon-- ugh, no. Like I said, that gave me the willies.

It would’ve been a shocker had it actually happened, but It Was Just a Dream ™. Nice trolling by the writers, there, for all the Penny/Sheldon shippers.

Partially because she seemed like a real, normal, well-adjusted person.

I know I haven’t been around much lately, but what does this mean?

I think there were three penis jokes.

I didn’t like Mandy. Get Alex back and give Penny some real competition.

Last week **rocking chair **hinted at a shocker in this week’s episode. Turned out it was all a dream (I believe she also speculated that it could be a cold open stunt, and she was right.)
