The bitch is psycho.

My dog I mean, my little darling baby girl Pandora has started being weird. She’s nesting with her toys, whining, and wanting to play at all hours of the night. All of that’s okay, we’ve see that before.

But she’s started this thing where she goes after William (our male dog) for no reason. Last night I was petting William and out of the blue psycho-dog arrive and tries to rip his ear off. What the hell is up with this?

Any ideas about why she’d suddenly start to pick on William, Dopers?

A change in dominance patterns within the Welby-pack?

Is she watching Xena the Warrior Princess?

Puppy PMS

Is she spayed? Unaltered females can go through false pregnancies where they exhibited nesting behavior and sometimes pick a toy as a substitute for a real puppy.

Here’s some info:
False Pregnancy in Dogs

False pregnancy is also what popped into my mind. In addition to the nesting behavior, aggression towards other dogs is also common. Not to pry, but if she isn’t spayed, you really should get it done. In addition to the pet overpopulation problem, intact females who are not bred are prone to pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus.

I dunno if it’s a change in dominance patterns or not. As far as the dogs go, she’s always been little miss princess and rules over the poor boy. She’s done this attack out of the blue thing a couple of times in the last week or so, and seems really intent on hurting William when she does. It’s definitly not a playful activity.

She probably is having a false preganancy, it’s not the first time we’ve seen it with her. However, this random violence thing is definitely a first, and we really don’t understand it.

I had to check to see if you were talking about me.
