The European elections are coming up in a couple of weeks…in Britain, electoral advertising is restricted; any party who fields more than X number of candidates is permitted a certain number of designated 5-minute slots on mainstream channels. This time, the BNP managed to reach that level, and so have reached a new level of “acceptibility”. It’s scary.
Oh, I know about the EU elections, and about party political broadcasts, for that matter.

no, it’s not got to do with enough seats, it’s that they are running enough candidates in enough wards to qualify for the party political broadcast.
the most worrying thing (aside from their bullshit politics) is that they are getting enough money to run all these candidates.

There’s been a major split between the National Front, who remain true to their ‘ideals’, and the BNP who have embraced much of the language and the doublespeak of mainstream politics, and are having growing successes as a result.
Excuse the small correction, but BNP stands for British National Party.
Worthy correction - the ‘British Nationalists’ are another (miniscule) party.
