Its been slow for me lately too, but not nearly as bad as it was before Jerry’s fix a few months ago.
Well, I wrote a script to see exactly how slow it is at various times of the day… just kidding 
Things have been noticeably slower for me over the last week or so (perhaps longer) as well. I get time-outs on posts fairly frequently during the day. Cable Modem at home, so my connection is good.
Like now.
Please don’t tell me to clean my cable again.
This is the only site that’s slow. How come?
Yeah, this morning it took 13 minutes for a post I made in MPSIMS to go through.
I noticed that in busy forums like MPSIMS and the Pit, posts will appear in bunches. For example, in MPSIMS, four different threads had their last posts all appear at 11:19 AM PDT. It’s unlikely that this would happen by chance, so it’s a sign that there is a bottleneck somewhere and posts made that were made at different times will appear at the same time.
Sheesh! This is not funny anymore.
The slowest board was IMDb. Until now.
