We have just seen the BtVS Episode “Entropy” here in Oz and I had a question for my fellow Dopers:
Did anyone notice when Anya was talking to Buffy on the porch that Buffy was wearing a leather jacket?
Going on the theory that Dawn had to return everything she had stolen would this leather jacket be the birthday gift she gave Buffy or the jacket Angel gave Buffy in Season 1?
Hmmm, I don’t know for sure, but I think Buffy has worn several different leather jackets throughout the series. I remember when Angel gave her his, it was too large. I don’t think I ever saw her wearing it again after that…
Buffy seemed to wear Angels leather jacket all through season 1.
For Buffy coat/jacket fans season 2 was I believe the highlight with some of the best coat/jacket action seem on TV.
The horrid woollen white thing she has worn a coupla times this season is so off and wouldn’t it be impractical for slayage - prone to getting dirty and hard to clean?
And capacitor what does you mean by “dresses awkwardly”?
I did look more like the gifted jacket than Angel’s but I was hoping the writters/costume dept would be a little more consistent than that.
are you more concerned about buffys daily wardrobe then your own? I was interested in seeing the hierarchichal order of your day to day lives and where Buffy’s leather jacket fits into this schema.
In the aforementioned episode, as Buffster and Dawn are walking down the sidewalk trying to figure out what stores Dawn can still go in:
Buffy: You’ve returned all the stuff that you still had, and we’re paying for the rest.
So one can assume that it was a different jacket. Actually, it looked a good bit like the one she was wearing at the beginning of Once More With Feeling.
And speaking of, perhaps this explains Buffy’s clothes allowance:
“Well, I’m not exactly quaking in my stylish yet affordable boots, but there’s definitely something unnatural going on here.”
It’s called a hobby. Buffy’s wardrobe is far more interesting than correcting your posts, which could be my other hobby if I were unemployed and excessively bored.
Thanks The Devil’s Grandmother for looking after this one until I could get here to deal with it (been busy agonising over Cordelias new hairstyle in Angel)
Well of course Buffys clothing is the most important thing in my day-to-day life. You seem to be assuming I actually have a life here
::looks around room, notes the special book shelf dedicated to fantasy novels, the buffy comic collection prominently displayed on top of bookshelf, the books and cd’s overflowing from every corner of the room, the blinds shut in the middle of the day, empty soft drink bottles and crisps packets littering the floor, dirty laundry piling up in a corner and clean stuff thrown on the couch.::
Nup nada no life here at all - just a whole lotta leechboys mess that I gotta clean up and a bunch of books I want to read and movies to watch
Lookee here Mister Miller, if’n you just take a gander at your profile over there on the left of the screen, it says, and I quote
So it is you who is in the wrong home, but before I chuck you out would you mind awfully just cleaning up some of this mess. Oh and the cat litter needs changing to, and there is some dishes in the kitchen and the carpet needs a good vacuum and you might as well clean out the toilet before you go. Thanks
Spike’s leather duster was last seen in Xander’s possession, after he found it on the railing Buffy’s house, the Peroxided One apparently being so shaken by her final rejection and good swift kicking of him that he neglected to grab it on the way out.
Where is the duster now? Does Xander have it? Does Buffy? Will he get it back in Season Seven? Will he want it, or will it just serve as a painful reminder of the horriblenesses that he has committed over the past century and a half or so?
And how come it fits Spike so well? The Slayer he took it off of after he killed her was about his height, but she didn’t seem that broad-shouldered, and it didn’t seem oversized on her.
leechbabe, babe, in “Fool for Love”, Spike is shown taking the duster of the dusted Slayer’s body and putting it on. Perfect fit from second one. And I can’t see Drusilla with a needle and thread. And I’m firmly convinced she was shagging Angel through the second half of Season Two- helluva way to treat Spike after he found a cure for whatever that angry mob in Prague did to mess her up, and then got a pipe organ dropped on him for his trouble.
