I dunno—I think the new ad campaign might be going a bit too far…
I liked the creepy king. Too bad we can’t get them todo the same thing to Ronald MacDonald.
Aw, I liked the King.
But then I neither am nor have a spookable four-year-old. So I get it.
[demonic bureaucrat hat on]
The Great Mouth has [del]asked[/del] commanded me to remind you all that neither he nor any other member of the Lowerarchy was in any way responsible for the King, who is not welcome in Hell.
Yeah, it was.
Man, we must be from the same place… I seem to have a vaguely similar halloween memory. Or maybe I am just in reverie.
There couldn’t be two toothbrush, gift certificate, Ronalds, could there?
Daughter works at BK. She’s been feeling ill but, when I picked her up yesterday she was smelling of a Whopper.
“So, you no longer have ciliac disease?”
“Maybe.”
“Or a sensitivity to glutens?”
“Possibly.”
“And you might possibly admit that you are distressingly healthy, get sick only once in a great while, act like the biggest baby, and went for days before I–I--figured out you had the flu and you shouldn’t go to work?”
A couple days before: “Will you call in for me? I think I am dying.”
My generation was sick all the time. It’s a wonder we are still alive. I don’t understand these kids.
I’m sad
The King was cool
What? This is crazy weird in a thread about the Burger King.
It almost kind of reads like a Burger King ad: “So good you’ll eat it even if it makes you sick!”
I’m reminded of the Taco Bell chihuahua. The commercials were seemingly great for brand name recognition. Apparently they stopped the add campaign when they realized that it was also reminding people that their food has been compared to dog food.
The King seemed to be good for brand name recognition, but apparently being kind of creepy in a humorous way doesn’t make people more inclined to by hamburgers from you.
Nooooooo…not the King…how could this beeeee!..He still owes me a burger. So is this how he gets out of debt? Dieing? Huh, I might have to try that.
Comedy aside, I do have to agree, that guy was pretty freaky, and most of the commercials seemed like childish pranks, though the ones where the cops were arresting him were kinda’ funny sometimes.
I want to know what Doper works for Cracked.com. My evidence-

>He holds up a finger - "hold on, I had something to show you, I’m not here to steal your teeth, …
I googled to see if there was some sort of meme about the B-King & teeth-stealing. Nope- just on Cracked.com & on the SDMB.
BraheSilver was last here in May 2011. I wonder…
The author of that article is “Seanbaby.” He’s been around for quite some time on the internets. As far as I know he isn’t a doper, but who knows. I think he lives in NorCal and BraheSilver says SoCal. You could check if teeth are mentioned on his website (guess the URL).
