Hey, at Dead People Server there is a link that says it will update you on the latest deaths via your phone.
I am too technologically retarded to figure this out for my phone system ( verizon) but maybe others can.

This is the list I chose for my very first time to play. Behold those who have achieved mortality!

Swampbear, I believe you’re looking for the as-yet-uncreated 2007 Death Pool thread.
No, that message is a reprint of this thread’s Post #127, which was submitted back on December 13, 2005. Of course, at the rate swampy’s going, he just may be able to recycle that list for next year’s contest.
By the way, we have at least one Doper who lives in Estonia and is thus probably aware that that former Soviet republic’s first post-USSR president has passed away. Lennart Meri was 76.
Ah, my mistake.
Legendary DePaul basketball coach Ray Meyer died yesterday at age 92: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-0603180115mar18,1,1280526.story?coll=chi-sportsnew-hed
Oleg Cassini is dead at 92.
Ray Meyer was not the only former DePaul basketball coach to die this year. Jim Izard, who coached the women’s team at the Chicago school from 1984 to '88, committed suicide last month outside his Florida home. Izard, who coached the Indiana women from 1988-2000, was married at the time of his death to the former Sarah Jo Warner, who had been a Hoosier player during his time in Bloomington. The recent discovery of two fetuses in a storage shed that had been rented to the Izards has prompted speculation on whether Jim Izard’s decision to end his life was related to his knowledge of what appears to be evidence of two self-induced abortions performed by Sarah.
Buck Owens (Hee Haw) dead at 76: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060325/ap_en_tv/obit_owens
I am horrified to see someone express such glee at the passing of a music legend…
Paul Dana , 30 year old race driver is dead.
It will be interesting to see how Letterman handles this on his next show. Dana raced for the team that Letterman owns a big chunk of.
Are you whooshed or whooshing?
I had the strangest dream last night.
I received a Dead Pool Update that Harry Morgan was Dead.
Naturally, I came in here to post this info to see if I beat out the UPI or my spidey senses are completely off.
Anyone else have Dead Pool Dreams?
j*** Whoosh!!* ** j
Stanislaw Lem, Polish science fiction writer (Solaris, The Futurological Congress), dead today at age 84.
Director Richard Fleischer died on the 25th, at the age of 89.
Artist Pro Hart died this morning
Jokes aren’t as funny when you have to explain them, FriarTed. Reread it as “Buck Owens (laughing noise).” Whoosh indeed.
