The Celebrity Death Pool 2006

Aaron Spelling has entered re-runs

Woo hooo, I had him on my list, and I think I’m the only one! He’s not nearly enough points to jump me to first place however…

E. Pierce Marshall, Anna Nicole Smith’s son in law from hell…

Halfway through the year, you’re not the only one.

Hey, this time last year I’d still have been a virgin if it wasn’t for the Pope
Ok, I didn’t even check to see if that was accurate, the opportunity to say it was just too good to pass up

Aaron Spelling Linky

Patsy Ramsey joins her daughter.

Several who no one probably had, but whose passings are still of some interest:

  1. Former Steelers WR Theo Bell

  2. Kool and the Gang co-founder/guitarist/occasional composer (Claydes) Charles Smith

  3. Film director Vincent Sherman

And contributes 51 points to my score.

I got a rock. :frowning:

Whaaat???

Checks around…
No, The Rock is doing ok…

Bye bye, Jim Baen

Johnny Jenkins, a guitarist who backed up Otis Redding and whose on-stage theatrics influenced Jimi Hendrix, has died at the age of 67.

Randy Walker, who coached the Northwestern University football team to a 7-5 record last season and an overall 37-46 mark, has died at the age of 52.

When will there be a list of the current standings in this pool?

Former Japanese PM Ryutaro Hashimoto is now swapping hairdo tips with Ronald Reagan.

Damn, picked the wrong PM. Still no points for me.

Jan Murray, a comedian and game-show host known for his many appearances as a panelist on Hollywood Squares, has died at the age of 89.

Ken Lay, who founded Enron by merging Houston Natural Gas with Omaha-based utility InterNorth in the mid-1980’s, has died at the age of 64. Lay, convicted six weeks ago of fraud and conspiracy charges which stemmed from Enron’s collapse, had been preparing an appeal while facing a potential prison sentence of 20 or more years.

Former Prime Minister of Norway Lars Korvald is dead at 90.

Somebody please tell me I’m not the only one who believes he faked his death. This close after his conviction? Sorry, that’s too convenient for me. I won’t believe it until I at least see autopsy photos. Until then I’ll believe he’s hanging out with Nixon and Dr. Mengele in a remote bunker guarded by fascist Chinese mercenaries.
