Emmy Award winning actor Benjamin Hendrickson has commited suicide.

Just curious - am I the only one who picked Jan Murray? I know each year, I have the proverbial snowball-in-Hell’s chance of ever winning this contest but I like the idea of having a “unique pick” (or whatever the heck the proper SDMB terminology is).

Elias Hrawi, who served as president of Lebanon from 1989 to 1998, has died at the age of 80 (according to the article linked at the start of this post) or 81 (the age given in the short notice at the bottom of this page, which features the obituary of Frank Zeidler). Zeidler, who was 93 when he passed away, was the last Socialist to serve as mayor of a major USA city when he led Milwaukee from 1948 to 1960.

Actress June Allyson has died.

Smiling Jack Smith , former host of You Asked for It, has died, aged 92.
