I get all giddy, just hoping I finally scored. I am the worst person ever!
This appears to be a quality shared by the whole MMP gang. (I’m another one not even in the pool.) At least we’ll all be there together.

I am so going to hell with the rest. I saw an article that former President Ford was in the hospital and the first thing I thought of was that if he died I’d finally get on the list. I’m a sick woman I am.
Robert K. Hoffman, one of three founders of National Lampoon magazine is dead at 59. The article says he was named one of the top 50 philanthropists for 2005 so not only was he funny but giving as well.
Such a shame…that I didn’t pick him. I could have used 41 points.
He’ll probably be around forever now that they’ve outfitted him with a pacemaker.
Nobody picked Robert K. Hoffman.
And wishing a happy 18th birthday to Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.
Bruce Gary, original drummer for The Knack. Of lymphoma, age 55.
The Knack, of course, are best remembered for providing the inspiration for Weird Al’s song, My Bologna.
And officially Fair Game for next year’s game.
Exactly.
Nobody picked Bruce Gary.
Wouldn’t he have been a fair pick for this year’s game? Could not you pick a 17 year-old and just hope he holds on til he hits 18? A risky strategy to be sure, but could it be done?
I think they have to be 18 as of the picking.
Well…yes to all three. Not worth any points until he’s 18.
Maynard Ferguson, trumpeter extraordinaire, has died at 78.
Nobody picked him.
Completely bored and avoiding reality oh, wait, I’m a Doper so it goes without sayin’, I googled and found some other Dead Pooler sites and found some interesting pointage You Bet Their Life Where you get the actual pointage like we do, but there are** bonus points:**
Amongst other pointage possibilites that I see.
I just thought I would throw it out there for a possibility for next year.
Grand Doyenne Maria Esther de Capovilla has died a month short of her 117th birthday. Her presumed successor, Lizze Bolden, also 116-years-old and the daughter of freed slaves, would be another smart zero-pointer for 2007.
Warren Jeffs was captured alive today.
I thought for sure he would go down in fusillade of gunfire leaving eighty or so widows. Why God, why?
This isn’t my year.
Just wait; if he ascends bodily to heaven out of his prison cell, you might get credit for him anyway.
I feel your pain. Why couldn’t this loon been packin’ heat and gone done in a hail of bullets ( in 2007)?
