Don’t think I’ve scored any points, either. I’m pretty sure I got my entry in time…
Noor Hassanali, who served as president of the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago from 1987 to 1997, has died at the age of 88.
As has Nobel Prize winning physicist Melvin Schwartz.
…and actor Glenn Ford.
I’m 2 for 13 with Glenn Ford!!!
a bizarre, but interesting game
a are we getting an end-of-the-month update? It seems August’s crop changed the standings a bit.
Come, join us for 2007’s Fun Filled Death Palooza! The new thread starts about December 1 and entries are accepted until December 31, 2006 at 1159pm.
I saw the “Glenn Ford has died” thread, and just for a second I thought it said “Gerald Ford”, and I got excited 'cause he’s on my list. Never mind that he’s only worth 7 points.
See what you have to look forward to, WildfireMM**?
Join us. Check your soul at the door.
I have both Fords, so it looks like I get the points either way.
I am also at the top of the bottom. I think I am responsible for keeping Ariel Sharon alive.
Gerald Green, whose father served as the inspiration for the title character of Gerald’s novel The Last Angry Man, has died at the age of 84. Green also wrote the screenplay for the NBC miniseries Holocaust, and received an Emmy Award for that effort.
Also dying recently at the age of 84 was Joseph Stefano, who penned the screenplay for the Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho a few years before co-creating the Outer Limits television series.
The nerve. Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O’Connor went and died two days after I added him to my 2007 prospect list.
Does anybody else find it slightly worrying that Rachm Qoch is so consistently good at this game?
Don’t you just hate it when people do that?
‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin has died at 44.
I had him…in 2004. :smack:
And congratuations to Wash and kat, both of whom had Steve Irwin for their first points of the year.
Or at least to Kat, since Wash was a guest in 12/05 who didn’t subscribe.
