The Celebrity Death Pool 2006

Any closer to getting final scores?

Are winners and final tallies ever going to be announced?

I hate to break it to you, you lost.

I believe mittu is going to post the answer in a few days.

No. Earlier last year we all took a secret vote and decided that these results would languish in limbo.

I’m so sorry for the delay. I haven’t forgotten. I’m just in the middle of

…writing the Great American Novel?
…dinner?
…the Gobi Desert?

… mind blowing sex, non stop with my new boyfriend?

Ya, I’m probably projecting again, so sorry.

Kui, eh, heh-heh, no. But thanks for thinking of me.

Not quite done yet, but I just wanted to pop in and say: ever noticed how clever that amarone is? Not one to draw attention to her(?)self, biding her(?) time… Hmm.

I will post the final total scoreboard this weekend.

Congratulations, Rachm Qoch!

How ironic, those were my only 2 deaths all year.

Waves hand

I had Gerry too…

Over the years, has the winning total been getting higher? Are we as a group doing better than we used to do?

Would take some statistical analysis, that would. Wonder if you can see a spike when Rachm Qoch joined?

How about Captain Lance Murdoch’s string of good choices? That would produce another good spike…

I would guess that any increase in winning totals is due to the bandwagon effect. More people are choosing the same low hanging fruit, so the aggregate totals are rising.

The last three years have been as follows. In 2004 Captain Lance Murdoch won with 95 points. I was nowhere. I studied hard and got 148 in 2005, but was a distant second behind Rachm Qoch with 202.

Redoubling my efforts, I believe I have got 233 in 2006, only to find myself even further behind Rachm Qoch with his massive 329.

Curse you, RQ!

Harrumph. Only three people! Granted, one was a unique pick and two (Wendy Wasserstein and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi) were fairly young, and only one of these deaths made me clap my hands with glee.

Castro, Thatcher, Taylor, Cronkite, do you have portraits of your youthful selves in an attic somewhere? Well, actually Liz probably does.

Thanks again to our numeric friend for her hard work, BTW!

Congrats to Rachm! for a blowout year!
You have written yourself into the Dead Pool Hisotry books.
