Hawking is on my list too, and I thought he was being especially cooperative by risking that trip in the vomit comet, but he seems to have survived it. (I’m glad, really I am.)

[QUOTE=VunderBob] I might finally score this year…

Pishaw. She’s been milking that cancer for years. I suspect it’s just a hangnail, and god will cure it. (she’s on my list too. I just couldn’t resist)
Poor Tammy Faye Messner, she does seem to be on the way up and out. She did some silly stuff, but then she changed and did some good in the world. I wish I could say the same for a lot of other people.
35 points. Yes, I have her.
Whoa. Between him and Castro, we have the makings of a nice little trifecta of anti-American world leaders. Anybody want to make a bet on who the third guy is going to be? Hugo Chavez? Kim Jong-Il?
I recommend the documentary “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”, to see that she is, astoundingly, given her public image, a thoughtful human being. She makes a convincing case that she did not know what Jim Bakker was doing with all the money she helped him get people to scoop out of their pockets, and feels great shame about it.
I’m actually saddened by news of her decline, whereas 10-12 years ago, I’d be, shall we say, less charitable, like here:

How about Mullah Dadullah Lang, a top Taliban leader?

I can’t get over thinking there needs to be a “Banana Fanna” in that name somewhere.

Did she give any of it back?

If there was anything to give back, do you think she would have done that VH1 Surreal Life at all? She was in poor health then, and it didn’t look like she had any real income source.
