The Celebrity Death Pool 2007

I’m so sorry! I should have remembered! I apologize profusely!

Thank you a35362, aka in my mind as “The A Lady”. See, I remember you’re a lady.

Try a35362a.

I agree. It’s much more feminine

Joe Kennedy, a baseball pitcher who had compiled a 43-61 career record for a total of five major-league clubs, has died at the age of 28. Kennedy’s last appearance on the mound had come when he was with the Toronto Blue Jays last September.

Kevin Dubrow lead singer of Quiet Riot of unknown causes.

His metal health drove him mad.

A bit late (I saw this on a plane last week), but the lovely Laraine Day has passed away. The “First Lady of Baseball” while married to Leo Durocher, her star is on the Hollywood Walk of Fame near Gene Autry, George Burns and Gracie Allen.

Sadly, I had inside info about this one, but didn’t choose her. It would have felt icky.

:frowning:

What can I say EJsGirl. As one of the many July 29er Dopers I, too, would have felt icky if I’d had inside info. I guess it’s just one of our many fine upstanding traits.

Washington Redskins’ Safety Sean Taylor has died after bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Allegedly, somebody broke into his Miami home Sunday night, where Taylor was staying while on IR. Taylor, hearing the sound, grabbed a machete he kept by his bed (really?!), and investigated. The robber/assailant ended up shooting Taylor in the groin, damaging his femoral artery, causing him to bleed significantly. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Taylor died.

I was going to say that.

Should open tomorrow.

Evel Knievel dead at 69.

And 31 points have come flying over the canyon right at me! WooHooo!

I was about to throw up my hands in despair and blow off the 2008 pool. But I just scored with Knievel, and now I’m all amped up to enter again. It’s like fishing; all it takes is a couple of nibbles to keep you going.
