Bruce Snyder, the football coach who led the Arizona State Sun Devils to a perfect regular season in 1996, has died at the age of 69. Snyder guided the Sun Devils’ program from 1992 to 2000 after serving as the head coach at Utah State (1976-82), an assistant with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams (1983-86), and the head coach at the University of California (1987-91).

Apparently Jody McCrea has died. He’s probably best known for playing “the goofy guy” in the 1960s beach movies, alternatively called “Bonehead,” Deadhead," and “Big Lunk.” Have not been able to find an official obit, though.

Merle Harmon, who served as a broadcaster for several Major League Baseball teams, has died at the age of 82. Harmon was the voice of the Kansas City A’s, Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers, and Texas Rangers at various points of his four decades in the booth. He also owned Merle Harmon’s Fan Fair, a chain of stores which sold officially licensed sports merchandise.
