Can we have a record for the most consecutive posts to mention the number 13?
It’s that damned time travel lag again…
I think Little Nemo made it 13. It’s been thirteen for all the years I’ve played it.
Tommy “Old Reliable” Henrich, five-time All-Star outfielder for the damn Yankees, dead at 96. He was the fifth-oldest living MLB player and the last surviving member of the 1938 World Champion team, and Lou Gehrig’s last living teammate.
I started with 2003, and it was 13 then.
Yeah yeah yeah… you can all stop now.
I think it’s thirteen.
Did I have the former Miss Argentina, Solange Magnano? I did not.
Richard Todd, who was Ian Fleming’s choice to play James Bond but lost his shot at the role due to a schedule conflict, has died at the age of 90. Todd, a British veteran of the D-Day invasion of Normandy, was one of the paratroopers who met Major John Howard’s glider force at Pegasus Bridge. Todd later played Howard in the film The Longest Day, which recreated the invasion.
And was in the film The Yangste Incident, which sounds like a great film.
Eric Woolfson of the Alan Parsons Project has sung his last song as of Thursday
I can’t find any real news links, but TMZ reports that WWE wrestler Umaga (aka Eddie Fatu) is dead. He was 36. Wiki says he has died too. This happened a couple days ago.
Anyone looking for lots of points in the 2010 Ghoul pool, should be looking at pro wrestlers.
Why? They all seem as fit as any other athlete. Or is it only the ones who cross over into acting that have longer lives?
A lot of wrestlers seem to die early, Here is a list compiled on another DB on wrestlers who have died before age 50, since 1985. And it doesn’t have Umaga. I am sure there are suicides, drug ODs, weight issues, heart problems. Yes, i suppose there is a comparable list of baseball players, football players, celebrities, but the population of pro wrestlers is not as big.

Eddie Fatu aka Umaga died yesterday at 36. Another wrestler bites the dust.
Maybe it’s the gallons of anabolic steroids coursing through their veins that has something to do with it.
Nah. Can’t be. Probably just bad luck.
It can not be steroids they are countered by Human Growth Serum. That makes them neutral.
Paula Hawkins, whose election to one of Florida’s U.S. Senate seats in 1980 made her the first full-term female member of Congress’s “upper house” who was not the wife or daughter of a prominent politician, has died at the age of 82. Hawkins, a Republican, championed the Missing Children Act of 1982. Two years later, she revealed during a congressional hearing that she had been a childhood victim of sexual molestation.
