Yesterday I discovered a bad-ass instrumental (jazz) version of “Sleigh Ride,” by Chelsey Green & The Green Project (this is a Facebook video that will start playing automatically). I am now on a mission to tell the world. 
Warren Shadd is the world’s only African American piano maker: his top-quality pianos have been played at the Vatican, and are featured on Empire. He recently released a series of Christmas videos featuring some seriously talented local musicians, some of whom I’m proud to say that I know. The entire series is definitely worth checking out, but so far this one is my favorite. I immediately bought the MP3 (I got it from Amazon, but it’s also available from iTunes and other sources).
