The Chronicles of "Dave"

That’s a really commonly told urban legend, too… the fake note on the crashed car. The details of the parking on top of another parked car and snowdrifts are unique.

Come to think of it, I’ve heard the bidet water fountain thing as a blonde joke before.

The bidet thing was a scene in a movie, too. The whole thing is obviously just a bunch of lies, and not particularly funny ones.

As someone who has been the victim of three hit-and-runs in the past four years, I am just going to say that I think Dave is not a very nice person, and leave it at that and leave this thread because of the location and my blood pressure.

Wait, these are all lies? Why would you lie to us like that, Shamozzle? I knew the note on the car sounded familiar.

Wow, I never expected such a response!

Ok, some truths:

These stories are all true and related accurately. Honest.

And no, I am not Dave. Really.

Yes, Dave could be an asshole and an idiot at times. His behavior was often a source of anger and frustration for me.

I haven’t seen Dave much in the last few years but the last time I talked to him he was running a mountain biking shop and negotiating a divorce.

I’m willing to accept that Dave told you these stories and you believed him. I’m still not willing to believe these stories (at least not all of them) are true.

I think Dave has deep-seated psychological problems.

Hello Daveis that you Dave?
That ought to confuse the non-Brits!

LOL, they really are true, honestly. Really.

As to whether Dave was bullshitting me when he related his experiences to me, the answer is “no”.

And as for those which I witnessed first hand, they are countless.

He never really understood that what he was telling me was insane or crazy. he never sought attention. It was just the way he lived…

Well, I think those stories are great. Thanks for the laughs!

And for the Canadians, we can add this guy to the list of Daves we know.

Dave Story #6

Once, Dave drove from Prince George, BC to Penticton, BC in approx. five hours. About 450 miles. He got six speeding tickets along the way. They ended up costing over $2000 dollars.

True?

I simply don’t believe you without any documentation. Generally, I’m willing to accept things on face value, but not when they are a collection of rehashed urban legends.

That’s cool, you don’t have to believe me.

But let me ask you this: Why would I rehash urban legends and claim them as my own? That would be pretty stupid, especially in the SD environment.

And yet it happens all the time…

Are you saying that you witnessed these events personally? Or that Dave told you them personally? I can certainly believe that he told you these things, but without some real verification I just don’t believe most of them happened.

It’s what trolls do.

Not saying you’re a troll. Just giving you a reason why someone might do that.

You should read a few of Master Wang-Ka’s threads.

I found the exploits humorous, but Dave does certainly not seem to be a well-adjusted individual, and the car stories were very immature. I have a little Dave inside me, so I really cant muster the vitriol some others have before me.

Of course there is no way I can prove anything I have related in this thread and I can’t blame anyone for not accepting anything at face value.

I’ve know Dave for 20 years and for those stories which I did not personally witness, they are entirely consistent with what I have witnessed in terms of Dave’s attitudes, behavior and lifestyle.

I guess that’s all I can say.

I love those Daves! And all from different moms, too!

You pay $500 that you can’t afford because some ignorant piece of shit runs into your car on the street, and you’ll be surprised at how much more vitriol you can muster.
