Nah, it’s just me. :smack:
What the hell is wrong with Braylon Edwards?
So, is Buffalo a safe pick for a survival league this week?
They’re worse to the Bengals and the Bengals barely squeaked by.
I think Cleveland will beat Buffalo. I say that without knowing anything about the injury report from either team yet though. Shaun Rogers can control the interior gaps against Buffalo and force runs to the outside. My big concern for Cleveland would be their tackling which has been horrible. If they can keep the ball out of TO’s hands they’ll be good but I can see them having fits trying to bring him down if they start hitting him on slants and posts toward the middle. On the other side of the ball this should be a good game for Anderson to hit some deep routes. How did Buffalo play so well against NE while looking bad all preseason and in the rest of their regular season games? New England must have been rustier than I thought in that game.
Watch a Rams game. They have been blanked twice.
No idea, but apparently LeBron’s friend must have asked him the same thing.
And now Braylon is a Jet: http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/10/07/sports/AP-FBN-Browns-Jets-Trade.html
Stuckey, some linebacker, a third and a fifth rounder. Fuck that.
I thought you’d be happy. Stuckey has been more productive than Braylon so far this year (and last, for that matter) and Edwards might have a suspension coming anyway. You just got two draft picks for free, basically.
Now, what does this portend for fantasy owners? Is Edwards worth more in New York? Is Cotchery going to lose touches? Should I drop Stuckey at once, or sooner?
Not happy at all. Edwards is a star who’s been hampered by a disfunctional offense. He’s going to go to New York and blow up in the next few years and make us look stupid.
The other side of this is that he hated it here (quite rightly, since the fanbase hated him from day 1, and it’s a soul sucking horrible team) and he was going to bail as soon as he could. But with no CBA, he’s an RFA in the offseason, still tradable, and even with a CBA we could’ve worked out some sort of franchise and trade deal. What we got back was not enough. I wonder if Shaun Rogers or Joe Thomas is next to bring in some mediocre Jets player Mangini wants to bring over.
On top of that, all the morons in the fanbase who wanted Braylon traded, cut, or immolated from day 1 now feel vindicated.
Massaquioa looked good last week, but it was in part because the coverage was all rolled over to Braylon’s side of the field. Now he’s a rookie #1 with no other threats on offense to take attention off of him, and he’ll be shut down. So who’s #2? Furrey? Cribbs? The whole passing game is going to collapse.
Seems like there’s something redundant in that sentence.
It occurs to me that we gave the Jets both Sanchez and Edwards now, in return for… not that much, in the grand scheme of things. Watch them become the next great passing combo over the next few years while I wear a bag over my head saints style.
Mangini has helped the Jets more from Cleveland than he did in New York.
Want a spare bag? I’ve got a few. They’re plastic, though. I find that it speeds the games up when you pass out from the lack of oxygen.
I’ve hated Braylon ever since I was home visiting my family after his rookie year and there was some reality show on local television that was all about him and his life. I thought “Who the hell does this asshole think he is? Does he actually think people care enough about him to watch him shop for clothes on TV?” I started to come around to him after his 2007 season, but he’s completely ruined any goodwill he may have built up in the last year and a half but sucking and being a clown (didn’t he hurt his foot goofing around with Stallworth in practice?). If he starts playing his ass off in New York, he will solidify his spot as my most hated pro football player.
I’m so sorry, Beef. This is just one miserable fucking football season for you. I sincerely hope your fantasy teams do well.
:D:D:D:D
I myself prefer the slower, often violent method of binge alcohol consumption. Kills the pain and alienates the family, and look…no bag!
Think about how us Buccaneer fans feel. Not only is our record just as bad as Cleveland’s, we gave a Browns castoff a big fat guaranteed contract.
The Jets needed a receiver since that Crabtree guy they drafted signed with someone else.
Winner: PotY!!! :p:p:p
