I just saw John Wayne movie (The Comancheros) made in 1961. Its a pretty good flick, and it deals with a period of American History (the New Mexico territory, in the years before the Civil War) about which very little is written. I tried to find the novel (by Paul Wellman) in my library-they don’t have it-even Amazon didn’t have a copy. Anyone know more about this obscure author? And where I might get a copy of it?
