You know what makes Lhurgoyfs bigger?
Death panels.
You know what makes Lhurgoyfs bigger?
Death panels.
Not much, in principle.
In practice, a bit different.
Workers from Auschwitz had a life span of 90-125 days, on average – US prison workers last longer. And they do get paid at least a minimal amount.
Also, they can choose to participate or not. Auschwitz didn’t have that choice really – choosing not to work was, quite literally, choosing to die.
Why do teabaggers who profess to love the Constitution then mock the protections offered to everyone under the Constitution?
To get to the other side.
Is it too late to terminate Bachmann’s kids?
Because Real Americans are the ones who should get those protections.
“Real Americans” having a very flexible definition, of course. They know them when they see them.

That being the real problem, since they’re quick to deny these protections to people and ideas they don’t like.
Yes, they are mostly adults (and generally pretty nice).
She has something like 25-30 kids & foster kids. (For a while, she & her husband made money taking in foster kids.)
Interestingly, Michelle Bachman is rabidly anti-gay, but at least one of her kids has come out as gay. They haven’t exactly rejected him, just ‘we love you, of course, but you have chosen to live a horrible sinful lifestyle, so we pray that Jesus will cast out that demon from you’ – not really accepting, and not very conducive to family harmony.
I had heard about her involvement in foster care, and had noted than even she has a good point to admire. I had not heard any suggestion that it was a money making venture for them, or any suggestion that such was their primary motivation. Which would be a sucky accusation far worse than what I already think of her. Crazy, I can sorta forgive. Reptile, no.
Please don’t make me do this again.
Don’t let it upset you, luc – money-making and taking great care of foster kids aren’t mutually exclusive. A close friend of mine has for many years taken in the toughest foster cases, children with multiple medical issues, children rescued from horrific abuse situations. She’s given them such superb care that children who’d never been expected to speak or function normally are now doing both; children whose brutalization should have left them as permanent basket cases have become bright, happy, outgoing kids.
My friend never has denied that money was part of the reason she took in foster children, and that taking the hardest cases meant more money; she in fact is quite upfront about it. There have been times in her life when the foster children payments were what kept her family financially afloat. But she also does it because she loves kids, loves taking care of them, and is fabulous at it. This friend is about the closest thing to a saint I’ve ever come across, and not the least bit inclined to see herself that way.
Bachman in every other aspect of her life is a despicable idiot, but it is possible that she too did foster care for a comparable mix of motives and that she should not be denigrated because financial considerations played a part in it.
There! Now that I’ve defended that vile harpy, I must go cleanse my soul. Thanks a lot.
They clearly got money from this; the county government regularly pays foster parents.
I don’t know that this was their primary motivation, and I never said that. I have no idea what motivates a person like Michelle Bachman.
She’s says we have become a “Nation of Slaves”.
I don’t feel like a slave, anybody else feel like a slave?
I think she’s channelling the ghost of Jim Morrison.

Well, if you’re not going to finish yours . . .
I dunno. I don’t exactly feel like one now, but I just had lunch. Later, maybe.
Does it come with a frogurt?
I didn’t feel like a slave until Obama made me work on this damned pyramid.
Shh. Don’t complain or he’ll make us build bricks without straw.
 Not only is he Kenyan, he’s also a FREEMASON!!!1
And in other news Michele Bachmann is starting a House Tea Party Caucus.
I’m actually all for this.
Much like Truck Nutz, this is a really helpful self labeling system for people I would like to avoid.
