The Container Store

In this thread, sunfish told me about The Container Store on 58th and Lex.

It is a store that sells containers.

I thought I’d check it out because I could use some containers to put
crap in when I move.

Let me tell you, this is one impressive store. They have a whole aisle
just for coat hangers.

Wooden hangers, plastic hangers, and wire hangers in all different
shapes and colors. They even have those special pants hangers, and tie
racks.

I didn’t get any hangers, though. But I did get some containers.

I got four big containers to pack books and miscellaneous crap in. I got six smaller containers just for the hell of it; I probably won’t even need them to move.

The Container Store has a guy who stands at the checkout line, whose sole job is to stand there and tell you which register is free, even though they have those flashing lights that tell you which register is free. I wonder how much they mark up the containers to pay that guy.

But it doesn’t matter. I am content to wallow in my plastic-bin glory.

The Container Store. Dig it.

Woah, the hamsters are really screwing around, this time. They seem to have held up a post I’m certain friedo meant to submit in 2003.

I’m diggin’ it. Straight up.
