Yeah, those airbrushed photos don’t show her age. I haven’t seen the show, but I’ve seen the commercials, and 40 my derrière. To say she looks older than the age they’re claiming she is, is not to say she’s unattractive or unfit. The surprise: She’s 55… and has chlamydia.
:dubious: This is not for the typical doper pervy reasons but . . . pic? My mom is an exceptionally young-looking 52, and she looks older than these pictures.

While she doesn’t look anything like the promo photos in motion, there’s still no way I’d believe she’s over 45. Her stated age of 40 sounds about right to me.
I buy 40. Maybe early 40’s, but 40 is entirely plausible. Her voice sounds that young, in both laryngeal condition & generational accent.

I’d buy that she’s 40. I’m 47 and she looks much younger than I do, and people tell me that I look 35. In the last 20 years people have aged differently, and don’t go for the middle aged, grandma look when they are 40.
Exactly. That’s why I think she’s 50. It’s not hard to find a 50 yo that looks 40 and hot.
She says “groovy” a lot.

For East Coasters, I believe Franklin Roosevelt’s accent is extinct. Dropping a generation, the same for Wiliam Daniels. For white Chicagoans, the classic “Southside Polack” accent has mostly faded (see The Super Fans (youtube) on SNL). Blame the homogenization of TV and radio, I suppose.
You need to meet some of the under 30 south siders I meet, guy. If that accent is fading then I don’t know what to say…
At 20, I’d have hit anything. Animal, vegetal or mineral. That show’s a mug’s game 
far out!
I don’t know what the technical term is. She sounds like she easily could be my age or up to 15 years older. Nothing about her says that she must be at the high end of that range. Not that that proves anything for a self-proclaimed “cougar.”
So what was the big twist?
Those of you who think she looks 50 or above: would you mind introducing me to a few of those women? I’m even age-appropriate.
