The countdown to my demobilization is at 28 days and counting.

Hey, it could be worse! From my non-military POV, I thought “demobilized in 28 days” might mean some large men were coming over to break your legs because a debt would be over-due. Now that’s demobilized! Or would it be immobilized? Whatever…

Seriously, good luck. It sounds like you’ve got the right attitude for looking at the long term picture, instead of just the short-term problems.

iampunha, can’t you take a hint? Let’s see them pics again!

It’ll work out fine, Dave.

You’re a good man and you’ll find something worth your talents. In the mean time I’m here if you and the missus and the Booga need me. You know that, dude.

Things will fall into place, indeed, Mr Airman sir.

Three years already.

Good LORD. I feel old now.

E.

I’m also amazed that’s it’s been three years. It’s been wonderful watching you make the journey from where you where then to where you are now. (as well as being kind of fun getting you into the state that allowed iampunha to take those pics…:D)

In all seriousness, I am proud beyond words to be able to call you my brother-in-arms. You are a fine Airman, and an asset to your country whatever you do.

[Salute] Thank you for your service, Airman.[/Salute]

'phuna’s a man?

Technically, yes.

3 years?? it’s been three years??? Gad.

at any rate, best wishes in civy world.

And named after a teddy bear no less…

Huh?

Good luck, Airman.

From the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (4th ed.):

Gee, Airman, maybe you could set up your own Cheesesteak cart somewhere:)

Best of luck finding a job befitting a man of your class and talents, and thank you so much for your service to our country!

No chance of picking up a full time civilian job in the Guard in your company? I’ve been offered that a number of times with my unit.

Just don’t lose sight of why you’re working as much as you plan to. It’s all for your family…if you let your work take you away from them for too long then is it really worth it?

Nevertheless, I hope you can find a good balance between work and family.
